Bro Iggy was actually voted as the FMVP where Jordan was FMVP in those years you are talking about.
I think I know that. What I'm saying is a good portion of this board believes Iggy was more deserving than Curry, despite the fact that Curry was quite clearly their most important player and had the most impact on their success in that series. Did Iggy have a strong case? Yeah sure. Same applies to Pippen - yet dudes in here acting it's some wild shyt when I say he had a strong case. Why isn't some wild shyt when Iggy was voted FMVP? I see everyone dapping the post with Jordan's and Pippen's box scores in the Finals, yet why don't they apply the same logic to Curry?
Curry had a few games where Delly was all into him in the Finals. Curry figured it out but he wasn't as dominant as one would expect a player of his caliber to be. Where Iggy played at a high level on both ends of the floor.
In case you didn't get the memo -
"81.5 percent of Iguodala’s scores versus Cleveland were assisted. The nearest defender on all but nine of his 37 made field goals was Mozgov, Thompson or 34-year-old James Jones."
Curry - 26 ppg, 6.3 assists while generating a large percentage of the Warriors points due to being trapped and double-teamed
Iggy - 16.3 ppg, 4.0 assists while taking mostly open, assisted shots while teams were focused on either Curry or Klay
Curry struggled with his shot in Game 2 and shot 50%, 50%, 47%, 56% and 42% in the remaining games. It was less Delly and more the team defense - trapping and doubling him, forcing the ball out of his hands on almost every possession - Iggy and others were the benefactors of this as it gave them open looks at the basket or open driving lanes.
