If I get into the law school that I want, I can expect about 150k in Student loans.... And that's before interest.
I just try to tell myself that I'm investing in myself. People invest in cars, houses, businesses and the like, what's wrong with investing in me?
I figure if I say it a few enough more times, I'll believe it.![]()
I know, breh. I know. I've heard it a million times before. I'm trying to ride it out til all the old heads die. As for the state, I'm in NYC, so I expect to work here for a bit. Ultimately trying to leave the state though. That market for lawyers though
What state you looking to practice in?

Trying to get into New York Law School. It's there or bust at this point (not really, but sorta). Kinda set on staying in NYC because I feel as if I'd be more grounded and I have a support system here. I'd go to CUNY Law if I had to though. I have been getting solicits from schools out of state that have had meUnless you land a high-end private Tier 1, go public law school at all costs (even if it's not in NY). Got a lot of people I went to law school with at UT who ended up in NY after the fact paying a fraction of the cost you'd pay up east.
There's tons of money to be made for a lawyer. I'm sure what area of law you're studying but you don't have to settle for a firm if you don't want to. You could do a lot of side hustles like writing contracts for small businesses...housing leases. shyt you can get on retainer for a lot of small companies. They just pay you every month to be their lawyer and you probably only deal with them once a year at the most. Look outside the box.I know, breh. I know. I've heard it a million times before.
