Ultimately these are allegations. Being accused of doing something isn’t the same as actually doing it. The Kanye situation wasn’t allegations it was stuff he actually said.

Especially in a situation where shyt went south between two parties many people will try to portray events that happened in a way that favors them.

The danger of this whole #metoo movement is anything said goes. A lot of people get accused of stuff they did do and a lot of people get accused of stuff they didn’t do. Even beyond that a lot of stuff gets recontextualized after the fact.

To be fair Nas should acknowledge the situation.

-If he did it he should acknowledge it, apologize, make amends with Kelis, and use his platform to help with prevention of further cases.

-If he didn’t abuse her he should say so.

This leaving it in the dark is disrespectful to his female fans who ride for him.

The difference is, while fans and critics still want to crucify West for his asinine public behavior, they haven’t bothered to hold Nas accountable for the allegations levied against him.

How can you hold someone ACCOUNTABLE from allegations?
Trump got accused of sexually assaulting women and became president, but somehow with Nas we have to immediately take an allegation as gospel?
