I am not a scientific person. Just want to preface this. But what is sentience? And what is the difference between AI learning from datasets and humans learning via experiences and socialization? If they designed this thing to forget what it learned between sessions so that its not retaining anything, that's one thing. It would be an expensive Xbox. But if they're designing it to constantly learn and improve on itself based on what information its gobbling up, how is that any different? Where is the line or threshold to where we're creating an artificial consciousness?

Speaking from a general perspective, I think people (especially conspiracy theorists) have overblown AI into this big scary thing that I don't really don't understand what the commotion is all, we're all using AI without even knowing it (smartphones, smart TVs, laptops, computers, WiFi, Hey Google, Hey Siri, etc, etc).
