Polling shows that the majority of Independents are liberal leaning.
Polling also shows that people who dislike Trump have not moved across the aisle and his disapproval has remained consistent.
Trump's base is a minority at best case makes up 39 percent of the population.
What am I missing here?
I just made a thread that shows that people have cared more about everything I've listed more than the only thing Republicans have achieved in tax reform and that is less optimistic for changing their situation now than it was in January 2017.

Idk if you are black (really black) or not but if you are you should know the whole all blacks vote dem thing is true- but the motivation is decreased yearly as our SPECIFIC needs arent meet by dems. (Stats show the Sharpest decline among any ethnic group in over 40 years)
White voter turn out is increasing among the rednecks aka trump supporters.
Moderates arent excited about either party and the GOP base is energized.
Unlike you, I'm black, from the city, grew up poor, survived being arrested and locked, survived poor to average schools, and made it because that's what the fukk I was raised to do.
