NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Not only the fact that you're looking up to Lamedemiks exposes how sheltered most of you are, but the fact that a mf can't be the rotten apple of the family proves how controlled by your parents are.

If you want to tell us you are a complete moron that lives through internet just say you like Akademiks and Hassan Cambell.
I literally was explaining recently on here how I know 3 brothers who parents owned a church and all them nikkas blood and all them nikkas was demons. Especially the oldest and the youngest. Lol

Can't be. If they don't make a movie about it, or someone raps about it, it's impossible.

Somebody with "authority" needs to feed it to them to believe it.

Now yall want to be like white people. Lol confused lil boys.
White media brainwashed blsck people into believing having a healthy family dynamic makes you less credible. That shyts strategically done to keep nikkas lost.

Freddie Gibbs is a Grammy nominated musician, his pops is a career cop, and his brother is a doctor.

If they were white, it would be considered an American success story. A family from one of the murder capitals turned life around and began creating generational wealth. That’s something that should applauded

But because he’s black and makes street music, it’s painted negatively like it makes him and any of his life experiences less credible

Y’all would respect this nikka if his pops was a fiend and his brother was a murderer tho huh. That’s the story nikkas glorify and hold up fondly. Insane

Social media is the real problem here.

All of our 90's GOATS were Escobar and Noodles and Pacino but they had to sell it through their art, which made it look cool.

These rappers have to continue their personas online so you get the "I could've had him smoked!" Tweets which is just corny as fukk.

Here's freddie, 12 years ago, explaining his life. He's also said his pops was kicked off the force for corruption, no idea if that's true.

And then there's also Broken

"Can't see eye to eye with my old man
Hiding my insecurities with this gang flag

We both despise the police but he wore the same badge
And as I child I admired that now I wonder how

He was a pig, but you was barely making 20 thou
I guess that's why you put me on that lick for 20 pounds
A life of crime is all we ever shared from then to now
And I'm a crook and you crooked, that's all we got in common
He chucked the deuce to my mama, so much for family bonding
"

I mean, c'mon guys - you motherfukkers aren't naive. Y'all know damn well how dirty most hood cops are. And I don't see anybody tripping on Killer Mike, who was also on the streets with a cop for a father...but since you guys cry about Freddie all the time, suddenly it's a problem now :skip:

Your father was a cop? How did that work, did you live with him growing up in Gary?

Yeah, I did. It’s funny because I get this question a lot. My dad came up in Gary, he was a musician, too. He was a singer and I guess he did what he had to do to support himself and in the 80s when I was like two-years-old, he joined the police force. Anyway, it was some sh*t, I don’t know the specifics of it but some scandal happened in ’91 that forced him to resign from the department. So throughout the years he was always working super-duper overtime or out of a job, or looking for a job, just struggling for money. And I watched my mom struggle to take care of three kids plus my little cousin, and my dad, he knew a lot of the sh*t that I was doing in the streets but he didn’t stop me from doing it. My dad was a cop but he wasn’t no angel, know what I mean? A lot of cops in Gary ain’t, especially not for one of the lowest salaries in the country, so you can imagine the corruption that goes on.

So, I would see how fu*ked up my dad was with money; blowing money and tricking off on sh*t with his other bi*ches, so when I needed something where else was I gonna turn? I was going to school seeing other kids with new Jordans but my mom, this check she had to pay for this, or this check she had to pay for that. My mom made sure I had a roof over my head but that was it. Beyond that, I had to take it upon myself to be independent. That was the way she always raised me and that is the way she always wanted me to be. I always had an independent mindset, I never asked nobody for nothing, even coming up rapping. I seen a lot of n*ggas around me that rap who took money from big dope boys in our city to jumpstart they rap career, pay for their studio time and all that. But me, I was always like, “Nah, man. I’ll sell my own sack, work off my own pack.” I’m not about to let you give me a pack and now I owe you. I’ll pay for my own studio time, press my own CD’s. I will always have that [independent streak] in me.

You were in the Army at one point, correct? How did you end up enlisting?

First off, I didn’t want to go. I caught a theft charge around the same time my [first] gun charge was still pending and the lawyer I was messing with at the time knew this Army recruiter. So they talked to the judge and the judge granted me this thing called “pre-trial diversion” and what that is, is they make your a*s go to boot camp and upon the completion of Army boot camp, your charges are pretty much lifted and you are on probation. So I went to boot camp and it was one of the worst and most grueling experiences I ever went through, but I finished it near the top of the class but that was not what I wanted for my life. No disrespect to anyone who does that for their career but I didn’t believe in all the stuff that the military was about, nor did I believe in what the administration was doing at that time. I did not want to be a part of that George Bush military and so, I did what I did, didn’t take the Army sh*t seriously. I still was on my street sh*t and what not, smoking weed and got kicked out. Dishonorable discharge.

Y'all can be so selectively naive about shyt.

:stopitslime: Miss me with that didnt have a choice. Nikkas who choose to be street nikkas overwhelmingly do it because the lifestyle. Money, cars, clothes, and hoes. The same lifestyle that would entice somebody who isnt from the hood.

Dudes be above working a 9-5 but rather choose a life of crime. There are ALOT of upstanding, successful, productive citizens who come from the hood.

Everybody has a choice.

so you think kids at such a young age who had parents as crackheads, raised themselves basically, had to act older due to their conditions. Grew up with anger because of their living conditions and living experienced.. shyt they seen. Confused about what’s right or wrong. Only shyt they see good in life is what they see in tv or outside which they are forced to be in because of their living conditions as a damn. 6 year old.. you compare those unfortunate to the fortunate?
