The beat is pimpish. bytch is very appropriate for it. Im thinking a Spitta, Roc or Q would be the only ones to give it full due.

The only ones I consider mid are Freddie and maybe Shadow of a Doubt, but even then I feel like if a lot of bigger artists released those projects people would hype them up more
To each his own, and I can see that criticism. But on the flip side, I feel like Gibbs is one of the few artists who I actually listen to their whole project repeatedly, rather than just individual songs I like, he’s often working with one producer so his projects sound much more cohesive. And it’s funny that you bring up Kendrick and Lupe, two similar artists to me in the sense that one of their biggest weaknesses is they constantly ruin good songs with terrible corny hooks and annoying gimmicky voices. Whereas a lot of people might find Gibb’s songs boring cause he raps on slower beats, and has less hooks, but he’s way less likely to ruin a good song with the aforementioned negatives
The music itself is incredibly dope. A return to form for gibbs whose kindve hit a stump over recent years
But the content of the music itself bothers me. Petty shots at unproblematic nikkas who wont respond, like spitta, benny punked you and you wont keep his name out your mouth (wont be surprised if this gets him killed someday), roping alc and larry into this shyt when they probably didnt even know you was gonna do this shyt..etc, shyt way too messy.
