I know I’m one of the only ones not that crazy on 1985 like that. A lot of times I skip it. Best for beat there’s a few in Alfredo I’m not crazy about.

I’m expecting to like this one more just because I don’t like Alfredo as much as most. I definitely think it’s dope but it’s a solid 4 to me. I know many have it at 4.5 or even 5.

There’s an aggression I hear from Gibbs’ delivery on most Madlib joints that sometimes seems not there on as many Alc joints.

But I’m still very hyped for this though

I know Madlib lost his equipment and I'll assume tracks from Montana were lost as well...you think Gibbs doubled back with Al on this because of that? Or did they already have plans to do Alfredo 2?

Montana is done and not lost but Gibbs old manager has it held up in a lawsuit and right now it can’t be released. Same with the Mac Miller x Madlib album. Alfredo 2 as I heard through a couple sources was planned and recorded in 2024. I do think the plan was for Alfredo 2 to drop first

because they moved their fictional in universe restaurant Alfredo’s to Japan, and Alfredo’s Tokyo is the name of their new spot, and Al + Fred = Alfredo. They even have working phone numbers that you can call and they have Craigslist ads looking for chefs and employees.

It’s like MadGibbs or MadVillain, etc.

The name Alfredo was never about the pasta.. It was about the name of their fictional restaurant. And they do Alfredo pop ups in real life too to serve food. They’ll do it again with Japanese food for this new album I’m sure
