I mean you gotta look at it from Gibbs perspective. He has the traditional point of view. That you create an album and then you promote it. You push it. You show it a certain level of respect. Gibbs and spitta have two different point of views on the artform.

Currency releases projects to keep his name relevant. He doesn't really care if the project itself is great or not. Gibbs is the exact opposite. Everything he releases has to be fire. It has to be classic. He's trying to leave a legacy behind. So currensy just moving onto the next project like their shyt was just another throwaway was disrespectful to Freddie. And I 100% understand it. People saying Freddie should have understood who he was working with. Well that shyt works both ways. Freddie and currensy are just oil and water. They should never be making a project together. But I don't have a problem with gibbs throwing some shots at him. Freddie just takes his craft seriously.
man this is such a bunch of julezing

Agh man currensy is 5x the emcee that Larry is. He’s not on Gibbs level but he can at least do 3 and even 4 syllable rhyme schemes. Larry’s a 1 and 2 syllable rhymer and way more basic.

But Gibbs does outdo currensy every time you aren’t wrong on that

Spitta held his own here

Was listening to that song the other day and while it is a not bad performance for him, he ends up getting sandwiched between boldy and a great Gibbs verse that ultimately leaves him being forgettable

Is he leaps and bounds better than Larry June? Yeah but that's not exactly an accomplishment either. There's literally hundreds of rappers better than him. I'm also salty that he fukked up that album with 2chainz and ALC :mjlol:

Curren$y was the low point of the fetti project anyway. Dude got washed on basically every track. Even if his lyrics were good on some joints, his delivery and low energy caused him to be underwhelming and forgettable. I skip over his verses when I go back to that project. Spitta has a style that works better in a vacuum. Putting him next to a rapper like Gibbs does not do him any favors. Covert coup is a classic but Gibbs washed him on that too

Larry June and curren$y should do us all a favor and team up, so we can contain them to their own little island of boring and not let them fukk up other projects
Gibbs is way more technically astute than Spitta but Spitta got his shyt off on Fetti. He got Gibbs on New Thangs and No Window Tints was a highlight of the project. Gibbs raps like he is in competition whilst Spitta raps how he feels in the moment with varied results.

Also Larry June is a short bus Spitta. They should never collab again.

But back to the album it's a very solid piece of work. The first half is way stronger than the second but it's very good overall. ALFREDO 1 is better though.

I think my initial whatever reaction to 1995 was it sounding exactly like what I expect when I think of Alc/Gibbs. Like it's ground thats already covered but I like it the more I listen to it and I like it as an opener.

I'm sorry but you're one of the corniest muthafukkers on this site. I don't take you seriously at all. You took the side of a culture vulture over Kendricks. That's all I need to know about you. Anybody who took drake's side in that battle is a certified bytch to me. And why the fukk would Gibbs need spitta's name for clout when gibbs is more successful in every way:dead:

Gibbs averages 4x more streams than curren$y right now. Curren$y is a nobody in the grand scheme of things. He doesn't need spitta for anything. Let's be serious :russ:
