Fillon - 19 (center right)

Fillon is hard right. A little less to the right than Le Pen. He is financially capitalist and morally conservative as in traditionalist catholic.what?

As it currently stands the spectrum would be like this :
LePen - (far right)
Fillon - (right)
Macron - (center)
Hamon - (left)
Melenchon - (far left) though he's close to Hamon on many areas as Hamon is on the left of the Socialist party.

Russia ain't hiding their preference
And neither is Germany

Can you give me your belief on why you think these far-right nationalist governments and politicians seem so intent on making Russia an ally? I understand there is nothing inherently surprising and wrong in making Russia an ally, especially when country like the US is also allied with countries like Saudi Arabia. But why does there seem to be a consensus among these western far right politicians that being an ally of Russia is neccessary? Is it purely because they feel they will fight against "radical islamic terrorists"?
Its just very odd to me. Especially when at the same time they become antagonistic against more neutral allies.
Appreciate the response. What is Russia's goal in backing far right nationalist governments all the way to backing literal nazis in Austria? Just to segment NATO and Europe? They have different reasons. In the case of France, they want to use the alliance with Russia as a tool to diminish the influence of the US in France. De Gaulle had the same idea.

U.S. influence in France? Le Pen's major gripe is the EU, not the U.S, she's seeking Russian relations to orient France away from the EU. Not to mention the financial support she received from Russia, in exchange for supporting the Crimea invasion. They have different reasons.
