I never bank on internal improvements with players on this team because this organization is awful at doing that, and the reality is that this team didn't show any signs of improving at anything until the last 6 weeks of the season. The three pointer simply wasn't valued by the team at all until the very end. Wiggins would only shoot the three if he was wide open (and he was open because he shot it so bad that after a while they dared him to shoot. Ask anyone here what would happen when Wiggins took a deep shot late in a game.) The three stopped being a part of his game. LaVine tried to make it a primary aspect of his game and he was streaky at it.

He's an RFA after next season so the Wolves can match any offer if they want or move him during the season as well

Entirely different organization now. Wiggins is never going to be a shooter at heart but the point is if he becomes good enough as a catch and shoot guy (wide open) it creates spacing when he's off the ball. Same with Lavine and both proved that they're capable of hitting over a multiple month sample size

Once boston didnt draft Dunn, all bets were off. Rubio is good when it comes to defense and passing. But it wasn't leading to more wins. I think Dunn has the higher upside. I think he's gonna be more agressive when it comes to attacking and shooting. the key is being patient. Everyone is talking about playoffs but remember this is a very young team. Yes, you're closer to the playoffs with Rubio than you are with Dunn. But do you want to just get to the playoffs or win in the playoffs? You can teach Dunn to shoot. so im not worried about that. Hell, Kahwi couldn't shoot either.

I'm really not. I know you want me to be because it makes it more fun for you but I'll say it for the millionth time. I don't care how they make it to the playoffs. Just get there. I just don't think they'll get there next year if Dunn and Jones are their only PG's while not fixing their other more pressing needs.

They may or may not make the playoffs next season but they are better off in the long run with Dunn
As you can probably tell im extremely high on him
As long as they keep Towns/Dunn/Wiggins and continue to build the team around those guys the Wolves will be title contenders in 2-3 years IMO

I get where he's coming from though. The goal is to get to the playoffs this year and moving Ricky doesn't make that likely imo. Dunn on the second unit with Bazz is a good thing though.
Yea I've been on the last two pages saying no way we should trade Ricky. Its a step back right now.
We're on the same page then. I'm unsure of Thibs the executive as well. But if Ricky is being kept then I can deal with the Dunn pick because he's a boost in an area where the team needs it. Just gotta watch it play out.

How big of a factor was KAT in there not being a deal? I think I saw someone said Thibs contacted him to get his thoughts on a Butler trade?
