I'm tired of these settlements where the accused never have to admit to any wrongdoing.

Someone needs to take the risk of losing and go all the way, because as long as there's no admission of wrongdoing...no pattern gets set. And so these people continue to get away with things in the long run.

This process took a long time....but I wonder if this encourages more chicks to scream out rape.....even if it may not have happened?
This is about FSU not investigating whether the accusation happened.

They saw it was their star QB and tried to sweep it under the game.

FSU got off light cause those fukkers should be in jail.

OK, he was a 5 star recruit at QB. How does this change my point.
Because
1. They had no incentive deliberately cover for him, hooked her up with counselling, as well as the option to drop the class she was in with him (which she refused)

2. She initially stopped cooperating and refused a Title 9 hearing. It was only when he became "Famous Jameis" did she suddenly become a victim. Hoes be lyin breh

:whew:

Still should have taken this case more serious.

Sidenote: I find it interesting that the cop in the initial investigation explained his reason to not search football players. How the girl told him that she knew Casher so thats why he didn't follow up on that. And that she told him that she never saw Casher the rest of the night.

That entire case is crazy.

It should encourage universities to actually investigate claims of rape.

FSU didn't arrest Winston? What evidence is there they didn't do their due diligence in the case? The main organizations that may have let the languish is the police force not FSU.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
She's getting $250,000 while the attorneys are getting $700,000

and that's why you can never trust your lawyer completely... at the end of the day... like in that 50 cent case.. they are going to suggest whatever the fukk they can, in order to keep billing you for the time

Winston was never charged criminally. If he had been, prosecutors would've needed to prove his guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, which is to convince a jury there's little chance he's not guilty. In the individual civil suits filed by Kinsman and Winston, however, the burden of proof is lower.

But the case may never make it to trial.

Court papers filed on Jan. 11 show that the attorneys for Kinsman and Winston set July 13, 2016, for a mediation conference. If they come to an agreement during that meeting, the two sides could come to a settlement and end the litigation.

You mean the redshirt freshman who hadn't even took a snap as the qb in a spring practice, yet? :stopitslime:

They probably didn't dig into this cause it was a baseless accusation. Only when it was plastered over the news as some credible situation, did they feel compelled to do something. This accusation stunk from the get go.
