also, you don't have to think if it's a classic or not, it doesn't matter sicne the album is "considered" as a classic... this is a consensus.

btw, gonna listen to that album again, the-coli really made me become a kdot fan

This nikka right here cannot be serious. This is why people think our generation is stupid.
Your logic don't make sense to me. Stop with everything else was garbage argument. nikkas get confused with the definition of Classic, you think Classic means GOAT, a classic is something that has huge impact to the viewers in it's time, based on the general public opinion. Yall sit here and generalize everybody who like the album, for some reason. Nobody leaving out Lupe, but lately been yall shytting on him too because he got more preachy with his raps. The Cool and Food and Liquor are great albums, both Classics. Bottomline, your bias overshadows your judgment. Your analysis of those songs you listed tells me you're one of those mofos that skip songs because the beat ain't got no 808s for your system. People who shyt on Real didn't appreciate the message behind. Well you're just one of those guys who give a damn about thought provoking messages, if it ain't banging with a Drake Hook, you don't like.

Breh, miss me with this entire whining message. This is exactly what I'm talking about. People like you who can't possibly understand why someone wouldn't like gkmc and claim that anyone who doesn't think everything on it is great "just don't get it" or isn't as "deep" as you. The people in here calling that album classic even say Real is lame. Last week I said that Lupe's Real >>> Kendrick's all the same people in here calling gkmc classic agreed with me. Your entire argument starts off by saying I don't know what the word "classic" means and then you sit here try to put words in my mouth and say that I said "classc = GOAT" and then you turn around and say classic = something that had a huge impact on people at the time. Do you not recognize your a terrible representative of the gkmc = classic cadre...

If classic was limited to what general public opinion of an album is at a time then Eminem would have three straight classic albums and no one give shim that. Justin Timberlake would have back to back classics and people aren't giving him that. The Blueprint 3 won rap album of the year and was a mainstream darling, no one gave it classic status. Your argue starts from a false place and then proceed to claim that I am generalizing everyone who likes an album while generalizing everyone who does not think it's a classic. The fact is, more often than not a "classic album" = one of the greatest albums of all time and when it is compared, it is to those albums. Then you turn around and say that I care about beats in a post where I bigged up F and L....where was all the banging 808s on there :dead: gkmc got the same reviews as all time classic albums and you recognize that it is not better than those albums so you want to shift the debate, and you failed to do so effectively. Try again, your entire post was incoherent or you quoted the wrong person because I said the album is very good, just not "instant classic." That's about it. No need to get mad Kendrick stans, I'll still be at his next concert :manny:

his flow is analyzed @ music school btw.

probably one of the most complex flows we have heard in hip hop

yeah I read something about that, this is also something that I have noticed at the first listen, he can go from quadruplet to triple quadruplet just like that.
If I remember good, Eminem was the only rapper who could do that in hip hop

You lost when you started mentioning albums that no one gave a classic status too :dead:

Hip-hop has deemed GKMC a consensus classic.

And you are all mad. And demonic

do yall youngins need a champion so bad you insult my intelligence spewing how classic this album was the whole year? its good. it got great beats. it got great flows. besides that.. how the fukk is this shyt a "classic" like ive had to read about and hear from UG heads :cape:all year. yall that thirsty ya just throwing that word out onto anyone who can spit a decent verse.

shyt loses a mic just for this dude switching his voice like a pre pubescent boy every song. some of these songs are great, good singles for a "lyrical" dude (and i use that term so fukking loosely) but na bro. it aint touching classic. i dont get why everyone hyping this kid up. his entire team is nicer than he is. album was a chore to listen to.

someone explain to me why this shyt is so hot to you, i really need to understand this

thats my opinion and thats as close to fact as its gonna get. bez

i love the album. i still listen to it but i dont think its a classic. hell, i dont think Illmatic or Reasonable Doubt are really classics. that word gets thrown around too much .

It's greatest quality is the lyricism & that it's a full length running album from the very realistic relateable perspective of the average hood kid, i can appreciate that in the era of fast food music.

However, as an execution it's not good, great beats? Not at all. Kdots delivery is just weak. It's no surprise that he couldn't get on in the mid 2000's where charisma was in thing. This generation is so desperate for actual legends, classics and movements that they will champion anything, especially lyrcists, but yall forgot everything else that makes a dope M.C and Kendrick is severely lacking in many of those departments

Nas is easily the greatest MC of the past 20 years and he has the most boring delivery of any MC ever. lol.

So fukk it just agree to disagree then. We have our opinion on what the definition of classic is, but still yall feel threatened by the word Classic... just get rid of the word then shyt

Matter of fact just kill this thread, theres no point in arguing opinions, nothing you can or I can say will change each others minds
