I can agree with that. I was initally basing my post off a few post who was saying it was a classic when it dropped.
But im a be real, i just feel like if ur nose wasnt into hip heavy at the time, rd was under radar. Casuals aint really know jay until hard knock life outside of the east coast.
And are u from the carolinas breh? I ask cause i know their radio played more ny shyt at the time than other southern spots.
yea, my original post was going off what future said...it was others that started adding in shyt to try to prove some point....as for whether people thought it was classic or not, that's all individual, so i have no say on that....
that's where i disagree....his shyt was getting played on tv and radio, and he he had specials on mtv/bet, so how did people not know about him?...seriously, people acting like the nutty professor wasnt a big movie at the time, and that 'aint no nikka' wasnt one of the lead singles for said movie...that shyt got play everywhere...
yea, i'm from NC, but that's not an excuse why i heard him....we got music from all over the country at the time...if you were popping aka 'hot', you got play...and i'm not just talking about on the major radio stations...i'm talking about them all, including college stations, the stations that only play certain music at a certain time, etc....

,been tryna tell yall lil nikkas mane.
