at people using The Source 100 Albums Of All Time or whatever the fukk as proof "Reasonable Doubt" was classic at the time. Chill Rob G is on there. That's all I'm gonna say.
And people keep mentioning how big "Ain't No...." was....aight cool....but the song was one of the weakest on "RD". So right off the bat a semi-weak song was synonymous with Jay. That's one of the main reasons it was like pulling teeth to get people to listen to him. I know, because I initially brushed him off for the exact same reason.
And if you're telling me the other "RD" singles were given the same push as "Ain't No", you're a god damn liar. They wore that video and song out.

....anybody who had this opinion for at least 15 years or more can probaly cosign they was one of the few willing to say outloud It Was Written was better,but more come out now that it looks more safe....but most go along wih Illmatic as THE classic as told like sheep out of respect,and becuz thats the narrative...i dont disrespect it either,i just like to hold it in its proper place and context like it should be
