The MLB was too entrenched in its “traditionalism” over the last 20 years, so the sport hasn’t maintained entertainment value and accessibility in the modern landscape. Let the players show personality during games. Create narratives. Etc.
I live in the South (nc) most people that gre up here tell me they were either Braves fans o Cubs fans because of TBS and WGN.If you say so.
I think they were due to the curse. Since they won, idk if they are that relevant anymore. Same with the Red Sox.
The only guy I can name on the dbacks is luis gonzalez and the other players on the rangers I know is pudge and juan and prince fielder
That's a fact. Even the Red Sox locally aren't what they used to be
Arizona lacks star power outside of Carroll and Gallen (Carroll's gonna quickly become one of the best players in baseball). The entire Texas Rangers infield was elected to start the all-star game. That's not including Adolis Garcia who's this year's Arozarena in the playoffs.
Dallas and Phoenix are NOT small markets. It just feels that way because we know those markets don’t rock with baseball as much as other sports.None of those guys move the needle though. They'd need to be in a bigger market. If the Dodgers with Mookie or Braves with Acuna or Yanks, Red Sox, Ohtani, etc. any combination of those teams and it'd be much bigger.
Non-Latino Black.Only 6%?
Black or African American?![]()
Cardinals always do numbers. The Yankees and to a lesser extent the Dodgers are the only national teams.
But it really don't matter because they kill locally.![]()
