fallout 76, Bethesda just ducking the whole game itself

Diablo immortal, blizzard just cock teasing then gagging it’s user base knowing this game is gonna be shyt

Battlefield 5, EA basically just thinking it can dictate how it’s customers act and then become a parent n shyt telling them what’s right

Black ops 4, Activision basically saying give us all your money by really making 1,000$ an option for blazing through its tiers and not even really giving you completely what you wanted in the first place

All these big ass developers within this fall have released what could be some of the most hated, and one of them being one of the worst received major releases ever! Like fallout 76 is damn near comparable to fukking ET

Like literally, those two games are comparable

This has been quite interesting and this phenomena we are experiencing really makes you question how games are going to come along

And with the looming recession, and the pestering and damn near reliance on micro transactions, and some of these companies seeing major stock price drops, could we eventually see another crash with video games? What are you thoughts?
This thread sounds like a thread i made recently except I didn't blame the developers. In the case of fallout76, people on my friendslist are always playing that. I've learned a long time ago if you don't have a ton of options you'll play a game like it was intended to be played. You'll enjoy it more. We have too many options, too many distractions from doing other more meaningful things...man, look at me, just a hopeless romantic. Maybe one day I can find the one for me and have a big ol wedding with all my friends and family there just chilling, eating tofu, country line dancing n stuff. If you're still reading this well congratulations, you played yourself :handshake:

All of the big 3 has innovated something on the hardware side.

Dude I was replying to was talking about games. Then you pivot to talking about anolog sticks :stopitslime:

Nintendo is no better or worse or original than any of the other large players.
Still no examples listed just general blanket statements. Ok.

Many of Nintendo's innovative ideas are founded on hardware changing the way you interact with software such as the analog stick and the c buttons that later became the C stick.

And if these other companies also innovated on the hardware side can we list some of that too and can it not be stuff like basically turning a game console into a b*stardized PC or taking something Nintendo created like the analog stick and adding a second one?

You still haven't listed examples of anything. 30 years ago or 5 days ago. Still ducking the question. Nintendo in many respects has defined how we play games today. They invented almost every aspect of gaming controllers from our analog sticks to d-pad to shoulder buttons to rumble. Hell even if you credit Sony with the addition of the CD drive to console gaming Nintendo had their hands in that too until they aborted the partnership. They brought us motion controls they made the first home VR gaming device their game design is even copied to hell. Mario 64 defined 3D gaming and it's influences are still upon us today. Metroidvania?

Of all the crazy arguments I've seen you make Nintendo not being innovative and Sony and Microsoft's innovations comparing to theirs is laughable. Many of Sony's ideas are just stolen from Nintendo and much of Microsoft's innovations are ideas they brought over from PC gaming.

If you strip away everything Nintendo has contributed to gaming modern gaming doesn't exist.

:whoa:

Easy fella...the granpappy of them all, is the joystick pong-parading, one button mashing, Atari....

Nah but really, Nintendo did come up with pretty much every design we know. From L and R buttons to X,Y,B,A layout. They even did multicolor buttons first. However, that's not to say someone else wouldn't have done it. With that posted, Nintendo had some unique ideas (rumble pack, analog stick) but never really "mastered" them. Sony handled that part. I still miss R.O.B., remember ROB? I want a new ROB.

The fukk breh :dahell:

I’m not getting into an “innovation” list wars with you.:mjlol:

Just cause Nintendo made the anolog stick(which they weren’t even the first to use) doesn’t mean they are some hotbead of innovation in 2018, nore does it mean other industry players have not innovated anything.

If you truly think Nintendo is the only one to innovate things, you are just lying to yourself.

Nintendo hasn't really been innovative in the past 5 years, in their games or their consoles. Nintendo's goal isn't that tho. They just want to sell games

Considering much of the last 5 years was the Wii U that’s understandable. The Wii U was an idea that didn’t take off.

Nintendo ain’t “innovated” shyt in decades.

Unless you want to give them motion controls.

Which I don’t see as an “innovation” considering most gamers and game creators including Nintendo themselves don’t view motion controls as an integral part of gaming.

That’s hardware, and none of that is even “original”

Nintendo shoots for hardware gimmicks to sell the same damn games. You know they are gimmicks cause all the games they drop get released on mutiple “generations” worth of hardware “innovations” :stopitslime:

True, but that doesn’t automatically make their games innovative or original.

the dude said they try to innovate within their games. They can push the same game over and over again, but they won't play the same as the last. Also Splatoon and ARMS are an innovated take their respective genres. And all those games have a heavy focus on gameplay no matter what is said.

Nintendo franchises don’t change more than any other long time franchises. Sony, Microsoft and everybody else has new IPs, and I never denied Nintendo games have a gameplay focus. That’s what they do best.
