Games are expensive and the micro transactions are a beast. Then on top of that you gotta pay a subscription fee to play online. I’ll get Battlefield and Gears of War this year and I’m straight.

This is probably one of the biggest causes why. F2P games and mobile games have been crushing buildings in the gen z market.A lot of Gen Z is playing free to play games as well. Valorant, Apex, marvel rivals etc. They'll buy a new game every so often to play on the side but be playing these mainly

Instead of getting remakes of games like Dino Crisis that are begging to get remade we get fukking "Last of Us" bullshytI don't care how much people love that game "The Last of Us" having a remake 9 years after it came out is absolute nonsense. I'm like, move on and do something else/new

I'll keep saying it. Gen Z does not really purchase video games like that. They're playing all of the free to play games (Fornite, Warzone, Apex, etc.) or the buy the annual versions of the same games (2k, Madden, COD, GTA). If they were to dig in deeper and single out micro transactions it will show where their money is going. But they mostly play games that the steamers are playing or what the trending game is at the moment. They are a majority of wave hoppers and not actual gamers that appreciate what all is out here to offer. A lot of us millennials grew up on 2D side scrollers and have grown with the industry so we have diversified out interests in games as the industry has blossomed. Most Gen Z outright hate single player games because you can't play it with your friends or they will watch someone else play it on a stream instead.

But i thought they were all buying 2000 dollar computers to play games![]()
