Well, why did they shut down the government in the first place?
Can any of the establishment supporters explain why Federal workers went unpaid for 40 days, SNAP wasn’t paid and government programs were impacted?
What was this government down for?

They really are setting themselves up for a massive L. If they couldn't stand firm on this battle with all the momentum on their side and election results backing them, they are going to be sitting ducks once the pendulum swing back in Republicans favor even slightly, and they get wrongly framed as destroying the ACA credits 
Cause Chuck is an ass. Now a random dem senator like Alex Padilla gets lumped in as a feckless loser because Chuck couldn’t keep these nikkas in line.

This is the best individual chance the Dems have had to end the MAGA/far right movement since it began. Even Covid didn’t hurt Trump this bad. Trump was going to let this shyt look like the Great Depression with food lines just to “win the deal” here. Now he wins, his retarded voters will think they’ve won even when their check looks like piecemeal after those premiums go up, and Dem voters with balls will be even less interested in backing these feckless morons.

does anything even stick in American politics anymore, like the Dem bloc that voted for this looks like doofuses but will voters actually punish anybody for it, the looming economic downturn will be the dominant story throughout 2026 that the longest shutdown ever will probably be a quick forethought by summer.
