This is like if OJ were to say nobody has really run for 2000 yards because they play 16 games instead of 14 now. I get the pride of wanting to hold on to your record but times have changed :yeshrug:
I dont think that's where they were trying to go with it. I just think that these OG cats feel that their records are more impressive than these new nikkas who got the records now. They either did it in a tougher league, different rules, and without extra games or benefits like a 3 point line

OJ's 2,000 yard season IMO will forever be>>>>>>>over anyone elses cause he took 14 games to do it but that's not a knock on Eric dikkerson, Barry Sanders, Terrell Davis, Jamal Lewis and AD.

Nope

That old ass mesothelioma having nikka needs to stop hating
cmon breh, really? :what: This generation really does have no respect for their elders:snoop: and im only 23.
Nothing really wrong with that, imagine yourself in that position, you make a record and the other dude makes it better in easier conditions. You would be lying if you said that you would be happy and supporting this new cat that just took your record away :manny:
This, but a lotta yall can't relate cuz you've never done anything close to great. :childplease: Now all-aboard the feelings train, I stay getting negged cuz:umad:.

They do. Without a doubt. Just listen to guys saying everyone in the NBA today would've been average in the 90s

Actually OJ would have a point because more games equal more opportunities for more yards. Otherwise it's still pretty much the same game. I highly doubt, can't say for sure of course, but I highly doubt that Iceman even attempted, let alone came close to hitting 9 shots from 25 feet away in that quarter.

Still remember how excited I was seeing The Iceman at Spurs basketball camp when I was a kid.

Thats his record:mjcry:
Iceman will always be good in my book. I met him when I was a kid at a corner store back in SA and he gave me an autographed basketball card :banderas:

Although I probably should've been wondering why George Gervin was at a corner store on East Commerce and Walters street though :patrice::wtf:

My point was they both technically would have valid points. But it's not like the players can help the rules evolving. I'm sort of indifferent about what he said. I believe Klay's performance was more impressive but Gervin isn't "wrong"

LOL @ Iceman... you played in an era where there was no strength and conditioning programs and teams full of white boys.

Don't shyt on Klay because of a 3 point line, when there are flaws in the era you played in too.

Just congratulate the young man and keep it moving.

:russ: I swear man Spurs players just walk around like common folk. People will tell me they've seen Tim Tony Bruce and David doing normal stuff like getting groceries at HEB:wtf:

I might be wrong here but wasnt the NBA in the late 70's especially after the ABA merger mostly black? I aint sure, I know the league had a massive coke problem though

He played for a West coast team when 125 points per game was light work - glorified Drew league level defense. :mjlol:
