Ye and Mike Dean being a team despite the fact that Dean is a battered victim of their domestic arrangement :mjlol:

Ghost really doesn't need anyone else as an Exec Producer on his albums. He pretty much is the exec producer of his own projects...but if Mike C not around anymore..with whatever he did...perhaps that's a good thing.

I’m more excited for ob4cl part 3 honestly. I think Rae from 2006-2010 (Vatican mixtapes-shaolin vs wutang) was on a crazy run. Kind of ran out of steam after that but if he can recapture some of that magic I think he can make a classic. Ghost however has been hit or miss since Apollo Kids Album. I feel like it’s something off with the voice. Rae voice got grimier/darker/ gritty with age while ghostface voice got raspier like he caught a bad cold or something. Also got outshined on wu lock and Raekwon outshined him on the second Adrian Young joint. I feel like ghost has been taking his time releasing shyt because HE KNOWS he can do better. I think he’s ready to come for the crown and that last album with the no name producers was just the throwaway rom the past decade. He’s obviously being careful with what he releases now. If SC2 lives up to the name he may end up being the GOAT rapper based off discography alone…..

Word. To be honest, I don’t even know if Kanye makes actual beats anymore. He's probably just overseeing albums now. Every joint he does now, has 5-6 different producers on each track. When Nasir dropped, I was fully convinced that he just threw his name on the album. I still don’t think he did the beats on Daytona.
This don’t make sense breh why would he credit producers on every project (incl. his own) but then not on Daytona? People watch him make them and truth be told he’s made better beats than those.

I say that because people in the room have said that he's doing more "supervising" than actually jumping on the MPC now.

On both Nasir and Daytona, the initial word was that these were two joints entirely produced by Kanye. But a few months after they dropped, we started hearing from other producers, saying they actually did this beat and that beat on those albums. So it's a weird thing now, where you don’t really know who's making these beats. It's not like back in the day, where Ye's name was the only one popping up for the tracks. These newer projects always have multiple heads on them now responsible for the beats. I don’t think he's as hands-on as he was before.
