This is garbage :scust:

To take a bunch of old, unreleased, unfinished songs and release them as an album named SC2 is basically a scam. He knows this is low effort music. It's basically a "keep the lights on" album. Slap something together and make a little money off these white people in Europe dressed in Wu Tang t-shirts.

Miss me with the "be happy a legend is still putting out music" BS. Why should I respect this when he clearly doesn't respect his audience?

Gunn could've gotten him right. Alchemist could've done the same. You have two people who are behind some of the best produced hip hop over the last 5+ years doing a sound that's perfect for you but you refuse their services. That's because working with them means there's a standard you have to meet. They're going to make you work hard but some of these vets just want to phone it in. It has nothing to do with a budget and paying for the production. They don't want to put in the work. These random producers don't have the cache to tell them to rewrite a verse because it's not good enough.

He's washed. Pen isn't there and his voice is cooked. He should hang it up.

I turned it off at like the middle. Ghostface has not been running with that style since a couple songs after Supreme Clientele. He doesn't sound as animated or hyped outta his mind like he did on the first one, and I think it was too much to ask for. Should have really dropped Supreme Clientele 2 around '03 or '05 around when Madvillain came out. Then do the DoomStarks collab, The Pretty Toney Album and Fishscale coulda still dropped. Everything on The Wallabee Champ could have been the impetus for SC2.

This feel like an album past its prime. Ghost ain't that kind of writer anymore, and puttin' a sequel up 20 years later...?

Another problem is the production. The production on SC1 was BANANAS, and that married well with Ghost's delivery and subject matter... I'm glad it's out, but Ghost pushin' 60. I'm not about to act like I was expecting a homerun, he did his thing.

But my point is he became nominated sampling everything.

If he can pay for samples these dudes can

Facts. That's the thing right there.

People love crying about clearance. But it's not that they can't get sh*t cleared. They don’t want to PAY for sh*t to get cleared.

That's a whole income for older artists from back in the day. They'll work with you. But a lot of MC's just don’t think it's worth paying for. And for a lot of them, their music suffers because of it.

the best album they've put out wasn't part of the Legend Has It series.

It was Rome Streetz & Conductor Williams- Transpotting

I think because Rome was able to oversee the process himself.

Trainspotting is one of the dopest projects this year, and it had a lot of attention and buzz around when it dropped, and then people stopped talking about it. But that was a really dope album. Rome and Conductor need to just keep making whole projects together.
