These dudes so full of shyt ain’t nobody holding they breath from no hot shyt from GFK in 2024.

This here.

The SC2 ship has sailed. 24 years later, and this should've dropped while Ghost was still making good music. The anticipation for it died mad long ago.

Wouldn't even work unless Ghost go back on the dust and got a real budget for sample clearances :mjlol:

Kanye and Mike Dean been ass for over 10 years too, if he gonna lock in with a washed producer to EP this might as well be RZA.

Like I've said before to @Awesome Wells , he needs to link up with Nottz or the Alchemist at least :francis:

I would check for a project with either. But no reason to call it SC2. You gonna do that, it raises expectations and you should have most the same team involved.

Rae did it right with Cuban Linx 2.

On paper it's easier said then done.

I used to say it's easy - stick to the same exact formula and team.

Obcl2 is the example of this. To a T.

However there have been other albums, same team - where the artists were apart for so long, experimented too far out, came back and it was a mess.

They change up whole rap genres.

The first Wu album run was so perfect because
1. Same team
2. Consistent hard work
3. Passion
4. Same sound and energy

One of my favorite things from that run was how Ironman was recorded shortly after or during obfcl.

It's like Ironman is obfcl 2, and obfcl 2 is part 3 but a great part 3.
Has any sequel rap album ever TRULY been as good or better than the original?
The Chronic 2001, maybe

Yes. Obcl2 for certain. More so than 2001 I think.

Doe or Die II is nowhere close to the original

It has some cool tracks but is nowhere close to that league.

Mixing on it was kinda ehh on some tracks.

But it had most of the same team :yeshrug: if they was washed, they was washed together.

I still listen to that album though. Like most AZ albums it got good energy, good vibe, good lyrics, and the A++ flow.
