In prnciple I don't disagree but I will say that almost every JB beat I've heard in the past half decade or more has been a letdown.

His style sounds really dated IMO.

But he's one of the best to do it

I get that, and agree too.

Just been wanting to work with Ghost like this forever though. So I feel like he put more effort into these joints. We don’t need those Saigon album-like beats he was doing for years though. LOL!!

being quite honest I'm a bit scared for this album.

I consider SC to legit be a top 10 hip hop album of all time. its one of the best produced albums we've ever heard. My thing is, look I'm not expecting SC, but if you're going to name it SC2 its gotta be to a certain level AND a certain level of effort. Sound quality wise, beat wise production wise.

Idk I was really happy when I heard Kanye and Mike dean.

I love griselda but I also dont want the regular wu tang type album right now and features, needs to be a level up

Track was garbage. Breddah's need to stop having yes men around them. Who thought this was a good idea?! He's gonna do the Supreme Clientele legacy a disservice if the rest is like this!! Not a lead single.

From Appolo Kids to this?!!!:francis:

Damn you think so?

Which producers would you like to see on this? You think he kept any of the Kanye beats at all from when he was working with him given the controversy around Kanye now?

Bink would be a nice fit.

I think the more experimental offkilter underground producers like Conductor Williams and Sadhugold would work well too.

So i’m guessing after Ghost drops we’re getting Mobb Deep in September as Alchemist just announced the Mobb album is done and produced entirely by himself and Havoc.

So Ghost late August

Mobb Deep i’m guessing September 19

De La Soul in October

Big L in November

With the Grand Finale being Nas & Premier in December

Finally got to listen, definitely encouraged by this track.

The more I listen to the beat, the more I like it. I get those saying it sounds like a lazy fan edit of the OG Ghost and Rakim tracks though. I feel like Scram could’ve stitched them together more creatively, but I appreciate what he and Ghost were going for.

The important part is how Ghost is spitting, and for his age I think he is killing it. Yes, his voice doesn’t have the same youth and slickness, but he sounds energized and is doing his best to attack the track like vintage Ghost IMO. More importantly is he showing shades of that vintage Ghost imagery and descriptiveness that makes him GOAT tier. The song feels like a sampler/warmup freestyle for what’s to come, but it felt like no bars were wasted.

“Penthouse doorknob, drawers, and the floors is opal
Diamond safe rooms, the indoor pool is purple
Superb like Bird and Magic
A real deep thinker with silk words that’s smoother than virgin fabric
And them two-tone gummies, I’m the first to have it
We don’t fukk on bear skin rugs, just Persian rabbits
We mad nice, cigars and a glass of water
Got excited when the plug made it past the border”

Bars are like Fishscale/Pretty Toney Ghost to me :manny:

He’s not consistently that anymore, but between this track and his features on the Raekwon album, I’m excited for the album.

Song was good, I'm gonna check this out but I'll be honest, I haven't liked anything from Ghost since 2009 but these recent Mass Appeal drops have been good, and I liked the new song, in

Nas with the A game for Rae so he needs to equal or surpass that for Ghost. He probably recorded both verses at the same time
