Hope he drops the full track maybe this Friday but Ghost about to fukk around be 2/2 judging by that snippet.
And if they’re going to use A.I. i’d MUCH rather it be for something like this thats quick and animated than for an entire music video like with what Rae did.
At this point its probably AI or nothing.
These are more or less passion projects from . They know they wont recoup much so budgets are tighter than Drake's vagina...
I didn't want to be one of the first people to complain about it (since I said something similar in the Rae thread) but you're 100% right. It looks tacky and just does not fit. Do I expect each project to have the same approach as Slick Rick's album? No of course not. But you can't celebrate legends with soulless wack AI shyt when there are inexpensive human artists who would love to be apart of this history. Ralph McDaniels can't shoot some throwback shyt? And then tie everything together for a cool documentary next year that Mass Appeal could sell to a streaming giant?Thats an excuse to me when Slick Rick, who hasn’t been active in TWENTY FIVE YEARS comes back with an entire visual album shot across three different continents with no A.I. or cut corners. Hell Nas didn’t use extensive A.I. for any of the videos he released the last three years so its not like Mass Appeal is forcing that on the artists.
It might sound like i’m bytching but i’m just not the hugest fan of A.I. It can be cool for very specific things like that animated promo for the Ghost song but shooting an ENTIRE live action video with it? Nah the shyt looks fukking tacky and there’s no way the budget can be THAT low.
Apollo Kids was really good. I was shocked because I remember it being announced super abruptly like an afterthought, but it was dope.Big Doe rehab was the last really good ghost album imo
