It makes me wonder.....had Ghost been with a different label (one more equipped to have made his sample clearances happen) imagine what he could have put out?

Bulletproof Wallets was still a great album, but if it had released as intended........think about it....Ironman, Supreme Clientele, and the OG Bulletproof Wallets.....would have been one of the greatest 3 album runs to start a solo career.

Listened to this again during a drive earlier today. The Forest is one my favorite Ghost tracks of all time.....also happens to be one of my favorite Alchemist beats of all time.

With all the collaborative projects Alchemist has done with others......makes me wonder why a Ghostface/Alchemist album never materialized. Giving this serious thought.......IMO it would be a perfect pairing. Ghostface has an obscure, descriptive way of rhyming, and Alchemist can definitely find him appropriate samples to craft tracks tailor made for him.

I don’t know if “Wise/In The Rain” was recorded for Bulletproof Wallets but what a classic not to make any album... Might have been Supreme Clientele

"Wise" was for SC...prolly my favorite Ghost song of all time

Street Chemistry on Bulletproof Wallets is the only other collaboration I know of as far as Ghostface.

There is no official "OG version" of Bulletproof Wallets that ever leaked. It's all been pieced together by fans from leaked album advances, white label vinyl singles & mixtapes. All songs that seemed to be intended for the album with some confirmed in the incorrect liner notes of the album, some alternate versions on the advance & some recorded during the time of those sessions and assumed to be meant for BW.

Thin Ice skit/ Figure 8 skit (different than the track Ice/Ice Interlude)

confusion:

The album advance had a different version of The Juks, but it just had an instrumental where Ghost's verse would eventually go. Everything else was identical to the album version.

Maxine & The Watch were on the same track on one version of the advance

There are remixes to Never Be The Same Again. None are official and were made from the single's acappella vocals:

-The one that is commonly touted as the "original version"/"demo version" is a fan made remix who took a beat that Choo the Specializt (producer of Malcolm off Supreme Clientele) said he submitted but was never used by Ghost when he shared the instrumental online. Some fan put the Never Be... vocals over that beat and it spread like music did in 2001.

-9th Wonder's remix was released on his "9th invented the remix" mixtape in 2003 & wasn't part of any BW sessions.
