If a group of ppl want to gamble with each other that’s no problem.

However if an individual or group of ppl organize gambling operations and take a cut (I.e. a rake) for profit that’s illegal. Even in legal gambling states you need a gaming license just like you need licenses for weed and alcohol. When running these sort of illegal operations not only is that the crime but you’re also committing other crimes to hide the illegal shyt you’re doing (money laundering, tax evasion, wire fraud, etc). And in this case they need to be lucky they don’t try to throw sex trafficking for what the “hostesses” were doing
