Right meaning ONE of many..
ANY songs in the top 100
Whereas you said ALL...Nobody mentioned ALL of Pac songs.
Stop it breh...

at the end of the day pac pre DR vs snoop
take the top 10 songs outta both
snoop would have 9 to pac’s 1

Of ourse we talking about social problems among the black community, because that's what the song is about. U cannot dismiss the essence of the song and say otherwise. I don't think the song was meant to be a hit single even tho it was popular back then. And let's not forget it is critically acclaimed.
And your logic is flawed because, according to you, a song is mediocre because it's not a hit single ? What type of thinking is that ?
At the end of the Day I showed you a Pac song in the Top 100 of all time.

its no reason to get into social songs or it being critically acclaimed - this was da 90’s we didn't give 2 shyts about that back then
and my logic isn't flawed :
mediocre essentially means average or the middle (as far as quality, street, video, radio, club play ‘keep ur head up’ & ‘i get around’ was indeed mediocre
again i can name about 20 to 25 joints that exceeded them categories listed
Facts ..... totally agree with glasses 93/94 .... me against the world /all eyez on me pac smashed snoop plus pac was doing films back to back wen he got outa prison..... I might bash pac for some ov his beefs or other shyt he was doing but hands down while alive pac was the hardest working cat in hip hop ...I don’t think there’s a rapper out there that match’s pacs passion/charisma to this day hands down ....Snoop was from 1993 to 1995.. then Tupac 1995-1996 was bigger.
dmx is 1 ov my fav rappers n yes there rap styles are totally different but let’s not forget. Around the time ja rule n dmx were blowing up people were lookin for the “next pac “. Dmx has spoken a few times about that ... so no doubt his albums will sell a lot cause what the fans wanted ...Snoop was never has popular as 2pac, there was a reason Suge Knight got him out of jail so he could sign with Death Row, Pac was a movie star also, and his persona was larger than life. Snoop was just a rapper, white people like his music, so he had big commercial records, but it didn't have star aura about him.
He didn't become the Snoop Dog house hold name until after Death Row when he changed his image from a street killer to a weed smoking laid back cool uncle image
stop with this revisionist history, Snoop Dog was never as big as DMX was at his peak, stop it with this shyt, DMX sold more records than Pac even after Death that's how big he was
Always thought they felt a certain way about pac getting down with mob piru / fighting a well respected crip in the mgm .... greedo said that on his big boy interview ...I love Pac, but there’s a pattern of nikkas ACTUALLY from LA that don’t fw Pac (Glasses, 03 Greedo, etc.) .. there has to be something to that
At the end of the Day I showed you a Pac song in the Top 100 of all time.
Whereas the other top songs where Dre songs with Snoop features.
Any argument you have after that is moot..
Of course there is a reason to get into social songs. That was the whole purpose of the song and the album (2pacalypse now). As the matter of fact, his first two album was more social oriented. And you're wrong. Maybe u didn't give a fukk about conscious song but some people did.
keep ya head up ain't mediocre. U're puting your own criteria to judge if a song is mediocre or not. Since when a club play or a street are criteria to judge if a song is mediocre or not ? You're totally biased. You can dislike the song but don't call it mediocre. I don't like any of Biggie song, but im not gonna call it mediocre or shytty.
