Glasses is right

Those who are saying Pac had 2 movies, Poetic Justice actually flopped at the box office. Juice was good, but it wasn't that movie that folks were rushing to see like talking about.

Pac, Me against the world was good, but the dude was in jail, so he wasn't visible and couldn't do the promo for it. His trials was more talked about than his album.

Not taking away from Pac, huge fan, but if we are talking "real time" Snoop was the biggest draw.

Shed so many tears was a good single, but it wasn't (to me) a bigger single than Dear Mama. 1995 you heard that Everywhere

Dear Mama came out and that's when Pac starting making his way towards the top, then his signing with Death Row and California Love, dude took off and that was a wrap.

Before then it was Snoop Dog.

noop was that big :ohhh:

yea

snoop at his peak, was the biggest rapper ever.

Pac was out before 93 lol

Snoop was always bigger with the exception of Pac’s 9 month run at DR

and when the inevitable happens Snoop will be just as big, if not bigger in death....

#youwasntthere

snoop too old to get the first class death stimulus.

hes still active & still a celebrity, so he'll prolly creep into a lot of peoples top 15s or something if he croaks.

Dear Mama and Keep your head up were both #1 singles. I get around always was a smash hit.

:comeon:

dude said "monster hits."

that's a notch above a smash hit or #1 single.

The one who really deserves the credit is Dr Dre.

Snoop, 50 Cent, 2pac, Eminem...those are arguably the 4 biggest impact rappers ever and Dre is the mastermind behind all of their peak success years. Even Kendrick, I don't got him nowhere near those other dudes but for the new generation he is mammoth, and Dre had his hand in that too.

i'll give you snoop.

jimmy iovine was a bigger mastermind over the rest of these dudes.

i dont know why you would even include pac. he only had that one popular song with dr dre.

How old Glasses? Pac came to Deathrow and he was the biggest Hip Hop artist!
I just want to know why Suge was so pressed to get Pac out of jail to get him over to Death Row if he was just “mediocre” or just doing ok before going over to Death Row. They could’ve signed anybody if that was really the case lol. I’m just going by posts in this thread.

Doggystyle was the GRODT of the 90's in terms of album success. It was the highest selling Hip Hop album of all time at that point. Pac didn't have the enormous numbers until AEOM.

nikkas say Snoop was the bigger star but he made a movie at the height of his career and half of y'all never seen it. At the same time everybody seen Poetic Justice and Above The Rim.

i see what your doing
avoiding addressing my last post, cause your too shook to add dem hit / blockbuster songs to the convo

but anyways

i'm not all over the place - i took back’Dear Mama’ its only a top 100 pre DR song cause of the context & his current circumstances at that time

i wish yall would stay on topic & compare a normal hip hop song from him like ‘i get around’ to all the songs of that era
BUT yall aint - cause it cant compete

Listen we can keep going back-and-forth it really doesn’t matter people like what they like and they don’t like what they don’t like
the problem with you type of nikkaz..... u just wasn’t around back then
y’all hate to face the truth/reality of what the people felt back then..... you don’t have to take my word of me calling his songs mediocre go and pick up an old source magazine or any hip-hop/urban music magazine or publications that reviewed his first few albums and it will tell you all you need to know

Blablabla, u just babbling for the sake of babbling.
full

Point is Keep Ya Head Up is not mediocre. And u're wrong and u know it. Being the stan you are, posting in every Pac thread there is something unhealthy wrong with you.
