I’ve been to multiple weddings. Every time, the bride was so happy just to get married, you could’ve asked her to read the alphabet and she would’ve done it with no resistance.
I have zero sympathy for the groom. That small interaction already shows me what kind of woman she is. He knows exactly who he’s marrying and this isn’t the first time she’s acted like this.
If she truly respected him, she would’ve went along with it and then taken it up with him and the pastor after the ceremony. To show him up like this on their biggest day just shows the defiant spirit she has.
My friend said something deep to me last week: Women will change their clothes, hair, nails, eyelashes, butt, stomach, man, friends but never their attitude. The moment someone suggests that’s where they need to improve, 9/10 it’s taken as an affront.

There is an invisible deal that the most powerful in society have offered the common man. It's a tacit agreement that basically says "let us abuse you. In return, you are free to treat your women and children however you please and we will side with you every time"
People who grew up with parents that hit them can attest to this dynamic. Your father is treated like shyt at work and has to put up with being humiliated by customers and management. He gets to come home and humiliate and abuse you. He gets to say foul shyt like "I brought you into this world and can take you out of it" he gets to beat you so badly you get permanent scars and injuries that follow you for life. For a long time he got to do that to his woman too.
He could take out that pent up frustration and humiliation around being a loser in life on his wife. If she ran to the police they'd do nothing. If she tried to leave, she couldn't because she was blocked off from large portions of the labor market. She had to just put up with it and hope he wouldn't go too far one day and kill the both of you. The people who care the most about dominance and control are the people who experience the least amount of control in other parts of their life. A lot of posters here are not living the life they feel they should have. They're looking for control in whatever avenues they can get it. They don't see a relationship as a team effort, they see it as an aspect of their life where they can exercise dominance and feel strong and in control.
Problem is, they aren't living in their father and grandfather's time. That shyt don't work on modern women. They can and will bounce for any reason and the state won't prevent that as they once did. The powerful understand that money trumps everything and they've ammended the original deal since women are making paper now.

There was a study on amount of time fathers spent with children and overall share of housework/cooking etc.
Black men outperformed all other demographics.
We were raised in a matriarchal community and it shows.

You spent a lot of time listening to and understanding the issues black women hsve. As you were raised by one. The decision maker in the home was a woman.
If you got married and your wife had an issue she wanted to address. You would probably look at the issue from an unbiased perspective.
Whereas, let’s say a Hispanic man, will look at the issue and decide whether he as a man should even have to deal with it at all.
Example: Baby doesn’t have food ready and baby is hungry. Need to feed baby - black men.
