no I'm literally not agreeing with you and I'm literally saying you seem to mix reality up with imagination.
Computers are faster versions of what they are, not fundamentally different.

Man couldn't fly 300 years ago and they can't fly today.
That said the idea that tools could be made to assist men in defying gravity isn't new.
Da Vinci had ideas for hang gliders and people worked from the same principles until you got airplanes
And now we have a F-35 single-engine, supersonic stealth fighter capable of electronic warfare. When Lockheed Martin made that jet did they say it was imaginary and couldn’t be done? That’s its not within the realm of reality? They dumped millions for R&D and presented it.

A jet is a jet, it isn't some magical new thing is it?
Its an advancement on jet technology, but it won't magically work off the power of love, emit no heat, use no fuel, and work infinantly with no wear. Will it?
Thats the point, you want to desperately believe in the equivalent concept that magically things will change into something they are not because "technology" as if technology is magic.

I never said things will magically work I said given with time things will and can evolve just like all things in life. Next you’ll tell me human evolution isn’t real

I almost got destroyed for getting an IT degree, and staying a Black man, instead of learning about hockey and the NASCAR. That's the America we're not supposed to talk about. But what did you expect?

Like I've said before the things you have said in this thread, like computers will be able to think with technology is the equivalent of saying magic.
Human evolution isn't real.
There is no scientific evidence to support a missing link theory that man evolved from anything.
I would say mankind is the same today as man ever was.The only difference being we are more healthier now due to prosperity and trade allowing us to eat more and science allowing us to treat sicknesses.

They’ve been researching this before anyone knew what it was.

It will be used for very specific tasks. But there will never be a quantum laptop or desktop. There won’t be any quantum chips in the IPhone 30. We’re still trying to understand quantum physics and you think quantum computing is going to be like Chat-GTP level progress.
What the fukk is you talking about I never said shyt was going to be like no damn chatgtp , we don’t know what’s going to happen but I’m not about to act like it’s impossible especially if you got folks actively researching the shyt

But again you can look this up yourself on what people is trying to do with quantum

Maybe I was being eccentric I’ll give you that, I can go on a tangent but we clearly disagree on things at fundamental level

He probably would've been better off not going to college. Yeah, I said it.
:yeshrug:

Young men are struggling in a slowing job market, even if they have college degrees

Emanuel Barcenas feels like he’s falling behind. At 25, he’d like to be living in his own place, saving money for the future and making enough money to take a date out to dinner.

Instead, two years after he graduated with a computer science bachelor’s degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology, he’s unemployed and living with his parents in the suburbs of Chicago. Despite having applied to more than 900 jobs — from secretary positions to a role at a prison — he has gotten only a handful of interviews.

Dem H1Bs be lying like shyt too on their credentials.

My wife who’s a Project Manager and her coworker were doing job interviews last week and she was telling me of how one of them mufukkaz was blatantly using AI to look up the answers to interview questions. He would look away and look down and positioned the camera to where you can’t see him typing and shyt. Bad enough most of em already take up spots in IT already but just shameless
H1B Visas are the real reason American citizens can't find work. These are the people that's taking the jobs. As of right now Ai is just a distraction away from the real problem H1B visas

AI is a tool that can make your job 10x easier if you KNOW what you're doing and can correct its mistakes along the way.
look at all these AI apps that have horrible accessibility, design flaws and no security which can easily be hacked.

job market is tough right now, not just for SWE but across the board, we shouldn't be panicking but instead going with the flow until things stabilizes.

The last time major rule changes were made to the H1B lottery, denial rates went up to 25%. My old employer was furious because they got so many denials. They had no choice but to hire locally until those rules got rescinded a few years later.

H-1B visa revamp may leave fresh graduates with no shot at US jobs: Decoded
