To be fair. The Dodgers been in the playoffs 13 straight seasons and went the 1st seven of the 13 getting eliminated.
The Yankees used to be a slow all right hitting lineup maybe 5 years ago. They have changed both to a noticeable degree and still not won. While they definitely make mistakes (sticking with Volpe for so long). They are trying to change the team to get over the hump. They get some unfair hate.
It’s because Cashman always drags his feet on problems until the deadline when they exist for years on end or he just refuses to address them. Look at shortstop, third base, left field, and closer to name a few examples.

He is being prideful about SS and trying to force Volpe which is bad. This is his major fukk up.
3B he got Jazz last year and McMahon this year.
LF shook out because Grisham had a great year and he could stick Bellinger out there.
He got what people thought was the best closer in the game. He can't predict Williams is going to be a headcase for the first few months.

Joel Sherman asked him about getting clutch players. He made it sound so easy when it is extremely difficult. Who knows who is going to get hot in the playoffs. It's quirky and weird for the most part. Asking GMs to pick them out and get them on the team is an impossible task.

While Jeter's passive-aggressiveness could be annoying as fukk at times, he did it perfectly here. Of course he has inside knowledge. Why would he just blurt something out like that

This obviously struck a nerve with Cashman, or else he wouldn't have contacted him.

Jeter 1000% has spies on the inside because everyone there still loves him. But Jeter as trying to puff up his chest a little to talk that talk when he needs to say like he’s on an episode of Nightcap with Ocho and simp ass Shannon Sharp.

He won 5 rings with rosters that Cashman didn’t build and he will never let that situation with his last contract go because he saw back then that it really was just “business” when it was time to show Bernie, him and the rest of the core four go — Mariano was the exception.

No love lost between him and Cashman.

Team is a goddamn dumpster fire only bested by the trash ass Mets.

Jeter and ARod united in shītting on Cashman is very telling because they aren’t stupid.
The 7 greatest Yankee position players in my lifetime (not including Soto since he was just here for 1 year) are in chronological order Donnie, Bernie, Jeter, Jorge, Giambi, A-Rod, & Judge. 5 of them detest him. That’s not normal. When you run into an a$$hole in the morning you ran into an a$$hole. When you run into them all day every day for 30 years, you’re the a$$hole.

Dodgers at least switched it up and actually go all out to win. They made a change at the top, Andrew Friedman took over from 2015 on. Lost to cheating Astros in 2017 barely and now have a good chance to win a 3rd championship in 5 years. Meanwhile Assman has been riding crapshoot excuse for the last 16 years without a title, and still getting extensions. The Dodgers made the World Series 5 times in the last decade, meanwhile Yankees made one, in a year they faced mediocre AL Central teams to get there (Guardians & Royals).

Dodgers try to win the crapshoot by weighing the odds in their favor while Hal is happy just getting in to the crapshoot and hope they hit the lottery.

The Red Sox have won 4 championships with 3 managers and 3 different GMs in a 14 year time frame. God forbid we get rid of Assman who has won one in the last 25 seasons off the back of the core he inherited. Clown ass Boone “savages in the box” is a subpar PR manager who is now one of the longest tenured managers in the game. He is the longest tenured Yankees manager in history without a title.

Jerry jones is the only GM in sports to not be replaced since 2009 besides cashman. That man has just 3 division titles since 2013 despite sharing a division with 2 teams who refuse to ever spend. With even a mid tier budget he’d lose 100+ a year easy. You’d think Hal would replace him just off his setting $40-110 million on fire every year. 3 years ago he paid $110 million to DJ, Rizzo, Britton, Hicks, Gallo, IKF, & Donaldson. This year he spent $48 million on DJ, Stroman, Hicks, & Rizzo while none of them were even on the roster anymore by the end of July. It’s not normal to keep a GM who is this bad at his job that the entire fanbase and half your living legends despise too.

No Yankee manager before him reached year 5 without winning it all. He’s going into year 9 now. Say what you will about the giants and jets, but at least they fire bad coaches and executives so the fans know they aren’t wasting their time supporting the team and because the owner at least to some level is paying attention.

Winning or misery. He’s quoting Pat Riley. Nobody in this front office or coaching staff has anything close to Riley’s intensity or drive. This team is run by a bunch of smug a$$holes who’ve punted on shortstop for 6 straight years, punted on 3rd base for 5 straight years and have settled on stopgaps for 12 years, mostly punted on first base or settled on stopgaps for a decade, and just got their first good season out of left field in 8 years. Think about how quickly someone like Riley would’ve cleared out this front office and coaching staff if they were made president of baseball operations like Pat is in Miami.

The Dodgers have turned themselves around and are an elite organization.

Meanwhile, the YanKKKees organization is complete trash :trash:

The YanKKKees have turned into the baseball version of the Montreal Canadiens. Former premier organization with the most titles historically but has fallen from glory and hasn't won jacksh!t in a while with mediocre ownership.
