I'm 10 songs in and I already feel like I don't need to hear the rest.
When albums are this long, listening to them honestly feels like I'm wasting my time. Like I could be doing other things, even while I'm listening to them doing other things.
Lot of artists can't keep it going for 20 songs, and that's before the death of the 3rd verse.

This album boring ass fukk I couldn’t finish it but imma go back to it .
On my 3rd spin and I definitely have some favs from it. I could do without hearing DJ Khalid at all, just handle the production and keep quiet. Wish "I Can't Breathe" would have been included. She definitely did some growing in the lyrics and not afraid to switch it to hood/street when she need to. Also I need more guitar considering her skillset on it. So far, I'm happy, jammed it at the gym this morning, in the car, and at home.

My gym playlist runs from rap to r&b to blues. H.E.R. got the treadmill this morning.
Had to give the album another spin and it’s growing on me. The songwriting is there and a few songs are really starting to stand out. Also appreciating the sequence of the album as well where it seems like she is going through the ups and downs of a relationship.
The Khaled record and “Slide” shouldn’t have made the final cut IMO but it is what it is. Quite interesting they cut out Meek’s verse on the Khaled record but whatever.
But overall this is a solid “debut.”
However i feel “I Used To Know H.E.R.” should have been her official debut. But it is what it is..
