Her album didn’t come out until two years after this thread and flopped breh. She’s talented and well liked so she’s going to stay getting placements. But as a lead artist, she’s lost a ton of momentum compared to 2017. She was supposed to be if not THE FACE of, at least one of the top 2-3 faces of modern r&b. Instead SZA and Summer have taken that crown5 years later, Her is in movies, Superbowl half time shows, won an Oscar for best song, and yall wanted us to believe in 2019 her time was running out for Summer Walker??

Oh,we love the proverbs 31 aura of H.E.R and would never steer her down that path. I would hope thats not the demographic she is after.
Shes an RNB artist,you can have fake relationships within your music if its believable. And maybe her problem is authenticity due to her persona.
Im more focused on the music. Talent may not sell as much as toxicity. But it doesnt seem like shes even Jazmine Sullivan in stature. Jazmine Sullivan never feels "forced". She pops up,drops a banger,sings her ass off. People are so happy to see her make a return,then she dissapears for another 5 years.
I think if your really talented,and dont wanna involve yourself with the bullshyt of the business,that should be the goal. But if H.E.R dissapeared for 5 years I might not notice she was misisng. And I probably wouldnt be estatic when she got back. I think her music is good,but shes no Alicia Keys on that front.

Yes, she isn't Taylor Swift but she's more recognizable to the general public than the mass majority of other singers and many rappers today.
She's honestly at the point all she got to do is show up with a guitar in her hand publicly and people will know who that is - whether they know her name or not.
Her placement and public appearance game is more important than a lot of these other factors and she's publicly skilled enough to the point casuals can't bag on her for being a bad musician. She don't even got to sing a single bar, just has to riff a few notes on the guitar here and there.
