your a little bit over reacting, dont you think?
It will be sad when all the 90's generation will stop for good (Jay,Nas,Snoop,Cube and all of them) - but there will be something new.
Things come and go, the truth? I love this few last years much more than 2005-2010 :picard:
Kendrick is amazing, J.cole is great, Joey Badass is great,
Tyler the creator had a nice run, damn BIG KRIT is awesome...
I know that some of them are 30+, but they are definitely a different generation than the 90's I mentioned earlier.

I think the next few years will get even better... I'm looking forward to 2020 :takedat:
Think about it - musically 60's were dope, 90's were dope - every 30 years there's a new wave (hmm usually based on a different drug)
These new rappers that are in their prime (kendrick, krit and etc) are just the first swallow.

I'd quite like old rappers to make mature music about their life as it is being old. . .

It doesnt all have to be about bangers and being wild . . . Music is music. .

Artists like Common could pull it off with ease . . . thinking One Day It'll All Make Sense . . .

Slow it down, sample some jazz, spit some worldly knowledge

With so much music out there, I always find it funny how people get fed up and “grow out of hip hop”. To me, that just means you weren’t much of a fan in the first place, you just liked the “vibe” of it (which is ironically something corny that casual rap listeners say when they’re listening to awful music :mjlol:)

Bmore stand up!
Im almost 30 and the best MCs are from my generation imo.the Blus, freddie gibs, the Fashawns and em. fukk the new school.
There’s some great talent but mainstream ignores most of it and bullshyt is getting all the shine... it’s sad that the majority of the world doesn’t wanna hear no “real shyt”

Would be so dope but most rappers simply lack the knowledge to share and the ones that do come across like Hotep preachers. Put the guns and blunts down and pick up a book.

Mature rap could be such a good look with the right beats and hooks with jewels in the verses, I'd be in.
But rap praises ignorant shyt these days... and calls album about real like “boring” :hhh:

90% of what I listen to is what I grew up on and old-school stuff I discovered later in life.

I'm pretty much done with rap as far as new artists. I really don't care about discovering new artists. Every now and then a new cat will get my attention tho, for example:

I've gotten really into jazz also the past few years.

Like others have said, if you have a wide array of interests as far as music other than rap, you won't be sad about gravitating away from it as you get older.

Yeah oldies get a lot of play in my car... I guess it’s sad cuz I been in love with hip hop since 8 years old, when I stole E. 1999 eternal and It Was Written from the record store.
:russ:

Of course everything comes to an end but it is kinda disappointing to see the dis-service that has been done to the music I love
