ATL…overly
I'd take Melo as a player over Durant without hesitation. Melo's just had bad luck while Durant has literally been gifted the best roster in the NBA for the last 3 years.

This is how you earned that WOAT title breh :banderas:

I question whether dudes watch basketball to hate or to enjoy the game. No other way to explain anyone who would take Melo over KD by watching them play.

more like the other way around. stats and accomplishments favor KD. on the court watching them favors Melo. I've seen Melo eat Durant up too many times when they're matched up mano y mano for me to think otherwise.

check their head to head numbers. Melo has owned him (even moreso than LeBron) whenever they play.

I don't come here to appease ya'll or go along with common perception. If I needed to win one game and both squads are equivalent and my life depended on it, I'd take Melo over KD.

Carmelo was horrible in the Lakers series except for game 1. Dude flat out stunk it up for 4 straight games. I credit the Nuggets' defense and Chancey's floor game for their success that season more than Melo's individual volume scoring.

KD is a much better player than Melo. Dude is a better scorer, ball handler, shooter, passer and defender. Its not even close.

I don't exactly remember each of those games, and you might be right from a fg% point of view. all i know is i was in absolute fear everytime melo touched the ball. I judge players primarily by how they play in the playoffs and especially when they face the Lakers. Melo put more fear in me that year than anyone else. he was destorying our guys down low forcing doubles. he made kobe look like a little kid trying to guard him. we had no one. all we could do was pray he missed. he may have missed shots, but there was no denying he was the best player on that team and second best player on the floor.

if it wasn't for a superhuman effort by Kobe, i think he averaged 35/5/5 that series, we woulda lost.

Melo was unstoppable for the first game and scared me too, but that was the only good game that he had.

Game 1 - 39 points on 70%
Game 2 - 34 points on 41%
Game 3 - 21 points on 30%
Game 4 - 15 points on 18%
Game 5 - 31 points on 39%
Game 6 - 25 points on 35%

Replace Melo with KD they win that series in 6.

Billups was good enough to eviscerate the "best point guard in the nba by far" in 2009. Why couldnt Melo lead his team over a Deron Williams led Utah team?
can't put that L on Melo breh. Karl was dying of cancer and Adrian Dantley was in way over his head. Sloan coached circles around him.

Nikka, did you watch that series or not?

Melo had a GREAT opening game and proceeded to play fukking awfully every game after. He was below average defensively and he shot horribly. Like numbers that would make Kobe cringe.

Melo is like a homeless man's version of Kobe with more size and less talent.

OKC fans are really obsessed with Melo, kind of how Heat fans were last year.
