Melo was unstoppable for the first game and scared me too, but that was the only good game that he had.

Game 1 - 39 points on 70%
Game 2 - 34 points on 41%
Game 3 - 21 points on 30%
Game 4 - 15 points on 18%
Game 5 - 31 points on 39%
Game 6 - 25 points on 35%

Replace Melo with KD they win that series in 6.

:dahell: KD was 20 years old in his second pro season and ended up getting beat by the Lakers the following season in 6 (with better teammates than Melo) while shooting below 40%.

stop with the revisionist history. Melo was clearly better than KD that year.

Nikka, did you watch that series or not?

Melo had a GREAT opening game and proceeded to play fukking awfully every game after. He was below average defensively and he shot horribly. Like numbers that would make Kobe cringe.

Melo is like a homeless man's version of Kobe with more size and less talent.

Melo will prove all ya'll fools as morons once he gets a decent roster around him next season. I hope he goes to the Bulls cause they'd be my favorite to win the ring if they keep Noah/Gibson/Butler while picking up Melo.

Melo is never gonna be as good as Durant or Lebron.

Durant has already shown more court vision, better passing ability, and he's much more efficient and smarter scorer. Melo doesn't do anything better than Durant except post up.

Melo on the Thunder would already have a ring. tell me whose the second best player Melo has ever played with? a finished Iverson? old ass Billups? perenially injured Amare? now compare that to Durant who has had Westbrook (consensus top 10 player), Harden (consensus top 10 player), and Ibaka (dpoy caliber player).

like I said, Durant has been gifted a roster even LeBron would be jealous of while Melo has never really played with another all-star caliber player in his prime. this is the main reason I wanna see Melo in Chicago (even over the Lakers). cause I'm sure he'll get a ring quicker in Chicago than Durant in OKC.

A finished Iverson that outscored him for a full season? An old ass Billups that he had never seen the second round without up until that point? An injured Amare that he forced his way out of Denver to play with? If I am not mistaken didn't Tyson Chandler actually win DPOY? Melo always had talent in Denver, certainly enough to make more than one trip out of the first round and out of the bottom half of the playoff seeding and it's his fault he's in NY. That said, what do teammates have to do with the fact that KD has 4 times as many scoring titles as Melo in 4 fewer seasons with Russ taking all the shots he does?

It's hilarious how cats were so quick to bring Melo up when the Thunder struggled in round one and after CP3 got eliminated but now cats can't figure out why he'd being brought up now. :dead: Ya'll shoulda left that nikka in the regular season. :russ: Dont' get mad that he's still being brought up now.

id like to see kd play with a crappy roster before I make any decision. Westbrook and harden were like top 5 picks

So were AI, Billups, Chandler, and Kenyon. Miller, Amare, and Nene were all top 10 picks. BTW doesn't the fact that his team had back to back top 5 picks indicate he was playing with a crappy roster? :heh:

Melo is a tougher cover and draws more double teams. You think CP3 would be able to shut down Melo? I bet if Melo goes to Chicago, he gets a ring before Durant.

this is the 3rd straight season Durant has had the best roster in basketball and the 3rd straight season he loses the ring.

I have nothing to say about Bron vis-a-vis Melo. He's a champion and deserves respect. No one other than Kobe/Duncan are in his class.

#WPOY2014

@Swagnificent continues his dominant run.

funny thing is I bet alot more dudes in the league agree with me than any of you guys. I bet if you asked LeBron who he'd rather face, Melo or Durant (if they had equivalent teams), he'd prolly take Durant. Melo's the only dude that can really matchup with him from a pure physical standpoint.

Miami's roster was better and had more experience in 2012, Westbrook was injured last year and there is no Ibaka for the Spurs series this year.

You keep living up to your title.

current Durant has a better roster than 09 Melo and is about to get swept by an old Spurs team. he almost lost in the first round to the Grizz with a healthy Ibaka/Westbrook and needed to be saved by Reggie Jackson in game 4 and the league by suspending Z-bo in game 7.

how the hell could this dude lead a weaker roster to the title in 09 against a superior team?

Miami was not better in 2012. I love the revisionist history. Remember who had homecourt in 2012. Remember who all the experts were picking. Almost everyone was picking OKC to beat Miami. OKC had 3 top 10 players and a top 20 player who was in contention for DPOY. Miami only had 2 top 10 players. OKC was easily the more talented roster. And youth didn't hurt them much against the Spurs in the WCF (who had more experience as well as the best record in the regular season).

In 2013, many on here were saying the Thunder were BETTER without Westbrook. Ya'll base all your decisions on fg% when it comes to the value of a player. Even without Westbrook, that roster was still good enough to get to the WCF at least. Them boys got destroyed rather easily by a less talented Memphis squad.

And now the Serge Ibaka excuse. OKC still got 2 of the top 5 players in the league. Thats more than anyone else in the league can say. Put last years Kobe in Durant's place right now and I bet he beats the Spurs. Hell Kobe beat the Spurs in 2008 with less help.

Your opinions are so bad :dead:

"I know there is someone, somewhere, trying to take my spot...And I know where he is too. He's in Oklahoma. He's my inspiration because I see the direction he's headed, and it's the same direction I'm headed. I know his mind-set, and he knows mine. It's a collision course. We're driving one another."
- LeBron on Durant

Where the quotes about Melo breh? We know for a fact he views Durant as his number 1 competition.
