Nyggas dont even know the names of Jim Jones albums.. I honestly cant name one album. Yall make this nygga some type of superhero on here. dude is a leach with good ghostwriters. One of them died (RIP Fred the Godson).

Who can name a song on his last album? Not I. but he supposed to be ringing off in the clubs? Hitmaker need to blink twice if he ok from the extortion. Im sure he aint received a dime. You havent even seen Hitmaka with that bum nygga since

Yes. I don’t even think Pusha is that much better of a rapper than Jim is. I just think Pusha’s career has been curated better than most due to his affiliations. Without the Pharell and Kanye production and connections Push is Benny the Butcher status. For example just being able to premier a diss record at a Louie Vuitton show in Paris is next level. Push didn’t obtain that opportunity on his own merit tho, he was afforded that opportunity due to his affiliation with Pharell. No knock it just is what it is.
As I have said plenty of times. There’s no one in rap that has done less with more like Pusha has

This is a good example of why Impact is overrated a lot of times. Jim Jones, with the Blood wave and the tight clothes/rocker wave and just Dipset as a whole definitely had more impact and influence than Pusha ever had or has now. Outside of the Drake ether Pusha never really shook ish like that

But Pusha is like 10x better than him as a talent and has a stronger discography and much more respectable resume/career .

So how do you rank them? Keeping in mind, people put so much stock in impact and influence and so little in actual skills and things like that

Because whenever we discuss a consensus, impact is already factored into the discussion...

nikkas was brushing their hair with Dax and talking slow cuz they wanted to be Betha...

I'm sure nikkas in the Bay Area wanted to pimp cuz of too short

Scarface is Houston when a mainstream convo happens

This is what Jim is talking about..

There is no rapper in a CONSENSUS top 50 that is just getting by on skills and not having a moment in hip hop where the culture itself at some level didn't connect with it

Nobody said Pusha can't rap, what he is asking is what has Pusha done MUSICALLY that the CULTURE of hip hop connected with?

The lack of critical thinking thinking here is scary, scary enough for me to not post why most of y’all is wrong.

This logic can be used to discredit anybody :mjlol:

Nobody can be successful without connections. And pusha t ain't just anybody. Tell me why Fam-lay ain't up there then? He's been affiliated with Pharrell about as long :jbhmm:

Push's profile has only gotten higher and higher in the span of over 20 years he's been out

Jim Jones has improved as a rapper, but he wishes he had half the career push has had

Eh...Jimmy influenced fashion, slang, and memes more than music.

Pusha is pretty derivative though given the lane he's in despite how great of an emcee he is.

If we're strictly talking impact on rap music, I'd say neither particularly influenced the game.

But Jim Jones did help pioneer some fashion trends associated with Dipset and had the whole country shouting "Ballin!" for a year. If you consider that "influencing rap" then I guess the answer is Jim Jones.
Influenced fashion? Nah unless it's just a New York thing
