There can’t be this many passionate Jim Jones fans in the world let alone on this site. I refuse to believe it.

Just admit y’all biases due to the Drake diss. Y’all ain’t slick.

I think it's more a Lil Wayne bias than a Drake one. The other guy that quoted you has a Wayne avi. I forget the real reason why him and Pusha started beefing but I remember Push saying it was because Wayne stole their Bape style. That's really confusing because Wayne was hanging around Dipset back then and they were into Bape too.

Yes. I don’t even think Pusha is that much better of a rapper than Jim is. I just think Pusha’s career has been curated better than most due to his affiliations. Without the Pharell and Kanye production and connections Push is Benny the Butcher status. For example just being able to premier a diss record at a Louie Vuitton show in Paris is next level. Push didn’t obtain that opportunity on his own merit tho, he was afforded that opportunity due to his affiliation with Pharell. No knock it just is what it is.

And without Cam, Jimmy is on the corner asking for change.

I hear you but Think about it…Jim said, in essence, Pusha doesn’t belong on a Top 50 because he didn’t have the dudes thinking he was the coolest and didn’t have the chicks wanting him. I hear that…if you want to say that matters I won’t argue with you…but why is that more important when determining who’s one of the Best Rappers Ever than actually being great at rapping/music? Lol, that’s disgusting man.

Pusha is an amazing rapper (according to Jim), his albums are usually critically acclaimed and loved by critics and fans alike, he has kept himself relevant and been pretty damn successful…but because nobody wanted to be like him and he wasn’t killing the clubs and girls ain’t wanna fukk he’s not Top 50? Meanwhile some dude may just be cool to fans because of his image/gimmick and not even his raps/music…deserves a spot? 🤮

Nobody necessarily wants to be like Kendrick or Cole. The hood/whoever doesn’t find them cool like that and wanna dress like them and all that. Chicks ain’t creaming themselves over them. Etc… So, according to Jim, are they not Top 50 either? Imo, they deserve their rankings on these lists even moreso than a nig who is just there because we thought he was madd cool/swaggy/handsome/whatever weird ish Jim is saying without saying lol.

There is no signature Pusha T song/album in the chamber where nikkas/women go yeah I remember that..regionally and/or nationally

That's all the detractors are asking for..give one song that the culture goes crazy for..

Cole and Kendrick have made bona-fide records and move the current hip hop culture in real time...they resonate with the masses

Pusha has had all the tools at his disposal to make undeniable records and he hasn't delivered...

Diddy
Timbaland
Metro boomin
Kanye
Pharrell
Mario Winans
Travis Scott
Shawty Redd
Swizz Beatz
Future
Lil Uzi
Chris Brown

All the people pusher T has worked wit..

Major Label Budget at that

You tell me he is a top 50 CONSENSUS rapper and he hasn't made ONE memorable solo record with this lineup...

How is that possible?

Jim caught a hit when New York was at it’s weakest and to do that he had to bite the south’s music and the west coast’s image. He’s a bum that the city in it’s prime would have never let get on.
According to folks in this thread none of this true.

NY didn’t fall off and it’s just the nature of things to be shark biters.

Alternate reality facts from guys who think Bobby and Ice Spice are the new Biggie and Kim.

Why everyone acting like the Clipse/Pusha T career wasn't on life support while on a major label?🤣

Hip hop culture remember banging their hands on the lunchtable because of the grinding beat..

Not because I'm your pusher is on there....
Their last 2 albums bombed despite being produced by the Neptunes

This is the part of the movie when people tell me they wasn’t tryna get on the radio with records like this :dead:

Who’s impact or career looks more respectable:

Push- worked with Pharrell/ neptunes,
Part of The Clipse, classic album and song,
part of the movement of Bape, worked with Kanye and made critically acclaimed albums, dissed some of the biggest rappers (Drake /Wayne)in the game and had people looking to see what he said in the verse

Jim - part of Dipset , had a classic song WeFlyHigh, there was always jokes that Jim looked the dirtiest out of all of Dipset in the beginning, is now a self proclaimed fashion icon, has vamp life, Love&HipHop , Vh1 type of shows
