If I’m honest, this moved KL into the goat debate (not mine) and I completely get it.

One the last classic moments of rap/hip hop

He was already in the top 10 as far as lyricist goes… so no his placement didn’t change

You don’t get any points for winning against someone who’s not a lyricist
This.

I wished it was Cole vs. Kendrick as that would have been more appropriate

Drake, the obvious winner popularity wise, was never on his level

You can’t call Drake wack for ten years and elevate the nikka for beating the wack rapper lol. I don’t care how popular he is.

I just want people to be consistent, especially when we literally just saw him get beat by a guy who is nowhere near an all timer at a point where you could argue Drake was more popular
Who is the guy who beat him?

He was already in my top ten before this battle just based off his catalog and being a generally dope artist. What I like is that he didn’t simply try to replicate the success of his first big album and he stayed true to his artistry. Not only is the actual MUSIC dope (which is ultimately what it’s about) but he has substance in his music.

nikkas can't connect to Kendricks weirdness and voices, but somehow they can connect to drake :mjlol: Vibes, bops, and outside brehs.
"Euphoria" is the perfect example. The way he starts off is horrible. But once he gets into his grove, switching up his flow its dope. But that voice at the beginning, nah.

I like becauae he has made dope songs in so many genres. Boom bap, r &b, dancehall, pop songs, etc

You already know how social media would've clowned that battle. But yeah, I would've preferred Kendrick vs Cole

Nah...he did his thing but I've never cared for his music outside of Good Kid....this battle does make me want to revisit and see if I was trippin, so maybe that'll change things...otherwise, he stays where he's at

No he was already up there. People expected hik to win this and he did :hubie:

His practically flawless discography already had him up there

He wasn’t even rapping in voices in the beginning of Euphoria :mjlol: keep exposing yourself. You hate Kendrick’s “voices” even when he’s rapping in his regular voice but that Aubrey singing in a fake Caribbean accent sure connects with you. lol. Vibes, bops, and outside brehs.

No, mounting a coordinated attack with a bunch of nikkas to get a cheap pop by dissing Drake using talking points crowd sourced from a decade’s worth of terminally online Drake hating nerds didn’t bump him up in my all time rankings…Future, Ross, Metro, Rocky, Weeknd didn’t get brownie points either….if he starts making music again that i actually want to listen to voluntarily (Section 80 and Untitled are projects i fukked with heavily) and increased his work rate (ie real life impactful features like “Like That” that don’t rely on Drake hate to pop), that could boost him in my personal rankings

He didn’t drop either….the only person that dropped in my personal ranking is Cole….don’t wanna hear any “I’m this I’m that” talk from him again ever in life…keep rapping about losing your virginity and folding clothes, which I never listened to…but that’s his lane
Talking about he teamed up...only one dude hit Drake with 4 songs in 6 days and it wasn't these other nikkas. If anything, all these other folks were riding Kendrick's wave

Yeah, I didn’t bump up Joe Budden in my all time rankings when he did that either ….not saying yall ain’t free to deem him the GOAT and anything else because he said mean things about Drake, but just that ain’t moving it for me
