This thread is full of bullshyt. If Hakeem's game was so effective, where's the hardware? He got 2 chips when Mike went away. Lost in the first round countless times to and didn't make it to the playoffs during other years. Does 1987-1993 not exist to y'all? Its like u have removed all the negatives from Hakeem's career and only remember the two years he won titles. Like he wasn't playing all those other years. Like his career shouldn't be judged by the totality of everything.

I understand that a lot of people vividly remember Hakeem killing a before his prime Shaq and after his prime Pat in the finals, but don't remember when his team lost to the mighty Dale Ellis, Xavier McDaniels, Nate McMillan, and Derrick McKey led Supersonics. Or the year before that when they lost to the Mark Acquire led Mavericks. Don't gloss over those seasons like they don't exist.

I dont like using titles as the sole barometer

however, its very close. I could argue for either at this point.

i thought this initially, but the more thought i've given to it, i believe Dream was all around better player. especially on the defensive end.

B/s argument. Duncan & Shaq seem to have been able to win w/a sh!tload of different types of teammates throughout their career

Once again WHO WERE THERE TEAMMATES, and let's not forget shaq was in the league damn near 8 years before his first title and he had a solid team in orlando.

:birdman:

Shaq won with kobe and wade

Hakeem had the worst teammates and the worst coaches of all of em

Every NBA player takes Hakeem over shaq and Duncan. Horry played with all 3 and said its no contest.

Who were hakeem teammates :beli:

Did u read anything I posted? Im not even talking bout just winning chips. Im talking losing to teams where, let y'all tell it, he was far and away the best player on the floor. I mean, by miles. Show me one time, when Duncan was the best player on the floor in a series that he lost it.... go ahead, Im waiting. Meanwhile, Dream couldn't get his team out of the first round for 4 straight years and lost in the net round the others. This is in his "prime" years.

So who were Duncan's teammates his 2nd title? Hell even his first title he won w/an aging D-Rob, Sean Elliot, Jaren Jackson, Avery Johnson, Matio Elie, Antonio Daniels, Malik Rose.

Really breh? I hit u with arguments and u post a vid not relating to the argument, but to a fact already established. Dream smashed Drob. So? Dream was the better player at that time. I simply point out how none of u motherfukks talks about the late 80-early90s when talking bout Dream, like they don't exist. Duncan won a fukking ring with Stephen Jackson as the second best player on the team. Don't give me that bullshyt bout teammates. I pointed out the "amazing" teams Dream couldn't get past in the first round and all i hear is crickets coming form ur direction.

I don't agree with anybody saying Duncan had better teams either. Some of yall prolly wasn't even watchin basketball when the Rockets won them titles and go google the rosters and see names they don't recognize and say Hakeem didn't have any help but he did. Outside of these last few years Duncan has never played with a star either and some of these Spurs teams haven't been nothin to brag about
