In English lit in HS, we reading a passage silently, and in the midst of that impassioned discovery of verbs and nouns transcribed by Sir. William Shakespeare, this young lad in class keeps staring at me. I notice in my peripheral, but focus on the passage.
Out of no where he says audibly, (geechie accent) "Boy, you got some long eyelashes!" Classroom laughs. I'm uncomfortable.

I actually have pretty long eyelashes. But Marion was actually gay.
