Karl Malone was arguably the best big man runner on a fastbreak ever. His face up jumper was deadly, and his post game was respectable in its own right.

And you listing Hortford's accomplishments changes nothing. He's a damn good player, not the best at his position.

Horford is the best fastbreak big in the NBA with Josh Smith right there too.
Horford is the best mid range jump shooting big in the NBA. That's even better than Dirk. Look at the numbers in a 82 game season in 10-11.

Dude, stfu. The difference between clowns like Teague and :flabbynsick: Bibby to John Stockton is beyond epic. John Stockton was the perfect PG for Malone. A :flabbynsick: Bibby and Teague aren't perfect for anything like PnR's PF.

:obama:

There isn't one PF I would take over him. Gasol, Amare, Love, Griffin, Bosh, LMA... It doesn't matter. Horford is a top 10 player. We just haven't utilize him yet because of personnel. I blame Atlanta because they needed that PnR PG extremely bad and they failed to land one till this year. Bibby was :flabbynsick: and had a career year here. Teague is like Lue and Anthony Johnson in terms of role. He ain't a starting PG. He is talented but he's more like Bobby Jackson.

I kinda agree with you.Every time I watch Horford, I think to myself, "If this muthafukka was in a structured offense, centered around him, he'd be a cotdamn beast"

He's underutilized big time.He would've been monster on those Steve Nash era Phoenix Suns teams.I think he's one of the most efficient PF's in the game for sure.

I think he's going to eventually leave the Hawks and blow the fukk up on another team

Where do the atl hawk fans get all this confidence from? Has something happened that doesn't make them a first or second round exit again this year?

It's called delusions of grandeur.Knick and hawk fans are delusional as fukk

Ironically neither team has won shyt(hawks ever, knicks in 40 years)

Horford is the 7th or 8th best pf in the nba

He can finally blow up on the Hawks. Devin Harris is one of the highest rated PnR PG's in the NBA. He ain't that good of running an offense but he can run the fast break and PnR like a mothaf**ka. Devin Harris will have a career year :myman:

Look at the 2010-11 advanced numbers. Horford has the best mid range stats for ALL NBA players including Dirk and both took a lot of mid range jumpers as well. Dirk is a more unstoppable jumpshooter being that most of Al's are assisted and Dirk creates most of his.

I got love for the Sixers and didn't think Turner fit next to Iggy and vice versa. But I don't like Bynum that much and I really don't like Bynum as a #1 option. I think it's a mistake and fail waiting to happen. I rather you give the ball to Turner and let him run the show.

Dorrell Wright is a specialist who I like. I don't think his impact will come close to Lou's but I do think it was a solid pickup.

The Sixers will be tough. I like them as much as last year which means not enough. I like them more than New York but no where near Brooklyn or Indy. They are the same to me as Atlanta. 1st or 2nd and go home.

They will miss Brand, Iggy, and Lou a lot more than you guys think. A lot more. Hawes is no Brand nor close. No one to replace Lou and Iggy was the reason their defense was that good last year as well even though he also was the reason their offense was bad too.

I am still waiting for Jrue to breakout. I think this year next to Turner full time and not Lou, it might just happen. If he breaks out, watch out. I feel Bynum is extremely overrated.
I love Turner's game. I still cant put my finger on why it couldnt workout with Iguodala tho but oh well.

I think Turner can run the show and Bynum can anchor their half court offense. He will be better than Brand (on offense) no doubt. But im not sure what else they have on that roster around Bynum, Holiday and Turner. We'll see. Hope it works out for them

one of the only players I'd trade Kevin Love for and not feel like we got robbed

Love is a beast man. I just wish he wasn't your #1 option. He can be a beast if he could just focus on rebounding, being a role player, and playing great team ball. But he is kinda like Joe as a #1 option, it just don't work. I love watching the Wolves. Then Rubio got hurt :to:

He averages 26 a night. Him scoring is not the problem, and him not scoring isn't gonna make him a better rebounder or team player. Not sure where you were headed here.

It's not about the ppg it's about how he does it. It looks Blake Griffin and VC like. You know, the non impactful scoring. He doesn't make others better in the process and it's not like he's a finisher either.

My point being said that he isn't really a #1 option on offense type. I don't think any team can win with Love being that. Love is very good player, I love watching him play but I don't like him as a #1 . For someone with his passing skills, he sure can be a blackhole at times. He is just more of a role player to me than a superstar. Stat wise, he is a top 5 NBA player. But when I watch, I rather Bosh, Horford, Z-Bo, and LMA. Him and Griffin the same to me. Just different skill-sets and mentality.

SLAM ONLINE | » Al Horford: Elite Big

His jumpers rate dropped the min Bibby was traded. Even though Bibby wasn't effective anymore, he could still run an offense. Teague and Hinrich can't. So Horford #'s dropped.

Going into ASB, Horford had the best jump-shooting numbers in the NBA. He still had the best 16-23 feet numbers in 82 games.

Al's 16-23 feet

Dirk's 16-23 feet
