I wouldn’t be surprised if the Hawks don’t win another game in the series…but I could also see The Knicks being down 3-1

The Hawks have three guys playing the best ball they ever have on the big stage

Robinson has been rendered useless

Several Knicks are playing well & some aren’t

…. :yeshrug: lol

TYRONE GA!
The Knicks need a point guard. Blockhead 11 isn’t a point guard. Bridges and Hart out here looking like Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda. Sad…

Two different coaches couldn’t make KAT and Brunson work. Criticize Mike Brown all you want, but he isn’t the main issue with this team :manny:
this is a crazy take
Brown played mitchelll Robinson 11 minutes last game. He's by far our best defensive player and makes an immediate impact almost every time he enters the game. Atlanta doesnt even want him on the court.

He played shamet at the pg and had the bench trying to adapt to new things they never did to in the regular season. Shamet doesn't even take shots anymore.

Took him 80 games to experiment with the Kat brunson pick and rolls and now He's abandoned it again.

He refuses to make KAT a priority even though he has a mismatch every game and is unstoppable.

The team is beginning to panic and he just made a comment saying he doesnt know if we are gonna win lol Thibs may have been limited and stubborn, but he was a fukking leader.

Game ain't over, I don't know why y'all overreacting. Knicks just need to stay within distance on the 8-count.
To be fair though: the game was over when CJ did Brunson's celebration in his face and then did the too small and Mike Brown made no changes. Mike Brown just let it happen and made zero corrections (switching a bigger player on CJ, double teaming - nothing). It took forever for any switch to even happen in the end.

Brown runs nothing for Kat. Brown runs nothing for (0 points, 5 firsts) Bridges.
Brown runs practically nothing for Hart. It took OG and (checks notes) McBride to give the Knicks even a fighting shot,

This was more a case of "Knicks lost" than "Hawks won" Hawks did everything possible to let the Knicks win this game: let them go on a run, bad defense, shaky play in the last 2 minutes. Knicks CAN'T execute. Not in Q1 or Q4. The ONLY play they got: "JB runs iso until there's 2 seconds left on the clock".NOBODY sane thought it made sense to let go of Thibs except Leon Rose. He said the Knicks needed "championship level coaching". SMH.

While Thibs is stubborn (practices are way too intense, the rotation is way too limited) he FAR outshines Mike Brown where it matters: exploiting matchups, game day planning, improvements based on last game's tape.

He had KAT looking like a SUPERSTAR in the Playoffs last year. Why? KAT -all sassiness aside- is a very versatile player. He can beat you with the first step, he can spin around you, he can shoot the midrange, the close to the basket, but he can also shoot deep threes. He's big, he's tall and he's one of those "when he heats up watch out" players. You can't get him to heat up if he NEVER GETS THE ROCK.

The Knicks suffered from "JB spamming dribbles for 20 seconds before finally shooting with 1 or 2 seconds to go" and "Mikal Bridges disappearing when it actually matters" like they are doing now, but just that alone tells any sane person: Thibs can get more out of KAT than Mike Brown.

Thibs also cares about defense, playing with intensity and spotting unfavorable matchups (when someone on the other team gets hot)

Leon Rose and ownership are unfortunately simply in over their heads. The Knicks is a historic franchise with underprepared leaders and players.

I’m not going to pile on Mike Brown. I agree with everything you said though. It was a very unappealing hire after getting rid of Thibs. Almost a panic hire. Hes done some good things but he looks out his depth rn. Atlanta shouldn’t be looking this good
