Brown played mitchelll Robinson 11 minutes last game. He's by far our best defensive player and makes an immediate impact almost every time he enters the game. Atlanta doesnt even want him on the court.

He played shamet at the pg and had the bench trying to adapt to new things they never did to in the regular season. Shamet doesn't even take shots anymore.

Took him 80 games to experiment with the Kat brunson pick and rolls and now He's abandoned it again.

He refuses to make KAT a priority even though he has a mismatch every game and is unstoppable.

The team is beginning to panic and he just made a comment saying he doesnt know if we are gonna win lol Thibs may have been limited and stubborn, but he was a fukking leader.

Robinson is horrible offensively and at the free throw line. It basically becomes 4 on 5 on half court offense when he’s on the floor. And his impact defensively is limited since Okongwu can shoot the 3 and drag him out of the paint.

Hawks don’t have anyone that can guard him or get rebounds like him. So they have to play him

I’m not going to pile on Mike Brown. I agree with everything you said though. It was a very unappealing hire after getting rid of Thibs. Almost a panic hire. Hes done some good things but he looks out his depth rn. Atlanta shouldn’t be looking this good

At the end of the day, Mike Brown is Mike Brown. He's a decent NBA coach who simply does better in the regular season than the Playoffs, especially when the pressure is on and you are having to make changes on the fly ("looks out his depth rn"). BUT.. he didn't hire himself. Leon Rose and ownership are not equipped and -by sheer logic- they make an unexpected coaching change and pick an unequipped coach.

For Knicks fans sake I hope the Knicks bounce back, Bridges goes off for 30 two times, Brunson hits a game winning 3 etc. But that would mean that between today and the 4th game Mike Brown rips up his current plan, they run plays for Kat and Bridges finds his confidence AND the Hawks deteriorate in their play and confidence.

Their only ray of hope: Hart + Bridges had 2 points. They lost by only 1 point. They came back super strong in the 4th. They should build on that.

I know Suns fans would know this. But do the Knicks actually know who Mikal Bridges is?
When he was on the Suns when that team went to the Finals, he was the 5th option, and at best a 4th option. That's who he is. Someone who puts up 5 to 10 points a game, plays decent but not great defense, decent passer, etc. Nothing amazing. He would get abused defensively by bigger players, not that creative off the dribble. Got most of his points from other player's gravity and he would score from cutting to the basket. That's his level on a championship contender

For the Knicks to trade 5 first round picks for him was always odd to me lol

That first month when he got to Brooklyn and was averaging like 25, people thought he was gonna have a Kawhi like jump

Was fool’s gold plus I think they fell too in love with the Villanova thing

Also with regards to the Celtics they felt like with Mikal & OG they had the wings to defend Brown & Tatum effectively. Which is cool but matching up great with the Celtics doesn’t matter if you struggling with other teams.
