Brunson hasn't adapted his game to their roster. He's taking 24 shots a game so far in this series; the next closest guy is Towns with 12!

The Knicks have way too much talent for Brunson to be playing this way. I do not understand how he never gets called out for being a gunner.

You know why Bridges looks like shyt? Because Brunson wants to pound the fukking rock all game looking for his own shot.

KAT, OG and Bridges are all capable of getting 20+ on a regular basis but they can't because the point guard wants the most shots. I know "pure" points don't really exist anymore but if any team needed one, it's the Knicks.

Brunson plays like they have two stars surrounded by a bunch of grinders and limited players.
Repped. You can’t have such a big conflict of interest with his father on the coaching staff. They played themselves with that one because any championship winning coach would have hit him with the .

kids who work with their parents act with impunity. This ain’t no different. They gave up that money to hijack shots.

Yeah, be like iverson but you gotta score with efficiency and you are not that, and that’s where they struggle.

Too many annoying ass AAU dad culture ruining sports Trying to make their sons live through them.

No serious coach would ever consider that and that’s how ownership plays in the faces of the fans.

Knicks ownership likes yes men.

Being a number one option is about getting buckets through pressure when it comes to that there’s almost no one in the league I rather have than Brunson

Being a number one has nothing to do with defense, passing, height or none of that other shyt
Brunson is literally showing you why you're wrong about this

Not really. Never in basketball discussions has DEFENSE been relevant to who’s a number one option.

That has always referred to who can be a safety valve, shoulder a large offensive responsibility, score through pressurized situations.

In this context tho #1 = best player on the team

He can score yes but he's very limited in other areas, thus capping team success. He's not a #1 on a championship team

It’s never meant that. Your best player doesn’t necessarily have to be your number one option (ex. Kevin Garnett in Boston).

Also, if the Knicks got someone else to be the ‘best player’ (Giannis). Brunson would still be targeted on defense and would still be the safety valve scorer of the team.

The Knicks are simply not a championship team and it’s not because of Brunson his positives far outweigh his negatives.

KG is the rarity, more often than not the #1 is the best player on the team
