There's almost a guarantee these rules are being mandated due to students coming into class looking all kind of ways at what is supposed to be a prestigious educational institution.

And now you got people trying to build up momentum behind it as if it's some kind of foul Play that warrants everyone's consideration and concern.

Well it should be considered professional. It ain't highschool. It's where young adults prepare for Corporate America. And we not even talking about Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Stanford.

Maybe if you go to a low tier college it's like that none of those things matter.
Top colleges are hoodies galore, just as much as those that are ranked lower. You describe college like a mythical land only whispered about around a campfire :dead:

Good evening

Good evening

Man if the subjects are spoken with intellect and debate its professional to me. And they prepare you for Corporate America.

What else is it if it's not a professional setting?

Tell me you've never been to an Ivy league college campus without telling me. Roll up on Harvard or Columbia and you will find hoodies, pajamas, thin see-through yoga pants, and cleavage everywhere. You'll NEVER see a professor address it, or they would be out of there.

Like I said, it should be considered professional. Why wouldn't it be? What about Grad school?

And I still think those who make the effort go further. But that's my opinion.

:dead:Yet, the Harvard graduate who wore hoodies to class every day is still out-earning everyone.

And yet the business suit wearing Harvard Graduate may very well be the boss.:jbhmm:

But on a standard level at a standard college those who go the extra mile are likely more successful than most of the population.

Hoody vs Suit. Who you putting money on getting further?

Y'all got an excuse for everything.

Morehouse said no dresses, purses, tunics, and heels. That's "throwing shotts at a specific demographic" and y'all nikkas would have no problems with it because it goes against YOUR sensibilities.

But when it's directed at shyt that y'all do, it's "anti-black" because y'all think you represent the culture.

FOH.

HBCUs were made for black people about their business. That's the tradition and black culture they are trying to uphold, stop trying change it to conform to hood shyt. That shyt don't represent all of us.

Y'all nikkas will not be satisfied until y'all can go to work, go to school, go to church, go to events the same way y'all rolled out of bed.

Y'all no standards having nikkas need to exit left. :camby:
This is spot on. I’d give you rep for this if I could.

I have no issues with his dress code.

I find it hard to believe that college isn't considered a professional environment.

The topics of discussion, the classroom standards, the ethics, and the rules

He wasn't nice about it so everyone will have a problem. You either have to be nice or follow it up wth "I'm just playing" or folks get up in their feelings.

The best teachers teach life experience. They prepare you for life outside of the classroom.

Have you been to college or just remembering what you saw on A Different World? :what:

If you have:
10:00 am Calculus
12:30 pm Economics
4:30 pm Computer Science

Please tell me where life experience is a part of the curriculum.

They're paying money to be taught those subjects specifically. Professors aren't going off script in the classroom to talk about life lessons. If they're doing mentoring or meeting with students outside the classroom than that's another story.

Like I said colleges have career counseling and employment offices to specifically help students with transitioning to the workplace. It's not on a Computer Science professor to do that.

If the school doesn't have a dress code then he can't enforce one. He's projecting his own negative images and bias onto his students. It's winter and you can't wear a hoodie :camby:
