You got a young man in a school hoodie and another in a Black Voters Matter hoodie but I guess they look like hoodlums:mjpls:

Y'all must think really low of young black students to think they're walking around campus looking like Pooh Shiesty or there's girls having their ass out. If that was the norm the dean and the higher ups would have addressed it not a lone professor.

I had to check the article again and this was the syllabus just handed out this semester. Girls aren't even wearing shorts in January. This professor is bugging.

This is the most common way college students dress regardless of race and class and regardless of the school . Very casual because they want to be comfortable in the process of learning.

I don't have a problem necessarily trying to impart wisdom regarding future dress codes in the work world but he didn't execute this the best.

I would’ve dropped this class asap and take the course under a different professor. Soon as I seen the syllabus I’m go onto my advisor and file a complaint. Why a black man can’t wear a hoodie at HBCU. I would’ve broke down the racial undertones and everything in my complaint. It’s not even about the clothes, it’s about principles. You gonna have to explain to me how wearing a hoodie or durag has any impact on my learning ability. Plus, if a professor being extra like this in the syllabus or first day of class. They gonna be extra like that the whole course. I’m dropping it the first week so I don’t have penalties. Take that same course under a different teacher in the same semester. That’s why my undergraduate degree gpa is 3.2 and my graduate degree is 4.0 I learned my lesson trying prove myself to strict professors who grade hard during my undergrad years. It don’t matter how hard you work they’ll still give you a B or C on some keep improving bs even thought you did everything they asked by the book.

And yet the business suit wearing Harvard Graduate may very well be the boss.:jbhmm:

But on a standard level at a standard college those who go the extra mile are likely more successful than most of the population.

Hoody vs Suit. Who you putting money on getting further?
Dude, let go of these old negro wives tales. I promise you, Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates were not wearing suits during their time at Harvard.

This man apparently sucks at his job but is worried about what his students are wearing
:mjlol:

LeFlore creates an unwelcoming enviornment for learning. He likes to call out students for petty things and answer questions sarcastically which wastes time. LeFlore also likes to shorten deadlines for assignments then complain in class that a lot of students didn't turn said assignments in.
If you want to pass, do NOT put yourself through taking his class. Simple. No wonder at the beginning of the semester he said people normally fail his class. I should've taken that as advice.
One of the most incompetent professors I have ever had. Lots of rambling and does not give clear, concise lectures. All in all a very confusing person. Office hours are no help. He is not a coder or programmer, he is an information technologist who knows programming that teaches a coding class. Do with that information what you will. Would rate 0/5

Y'all not understanding the message man. This attitude here, in my honest opinion, is the difference between great success and average life

It sounds like bullshyt, but those little routine things build character and carry into other aspects of your life.

Making your bed, running 20 minutes a day, dressing professional. I'm willing to be people adhere to that are far more successful in life.
I mean I hear you. Dressing professional is one thing if it for an internship or field trip or something. But for just going to class they should be able to dress comfortably so they learn easier. On top of that they pay thousands in tuition. They should be able to wear what they want as long as it’s not offensive. Unless it’s a school wide policy to dress professional that professor can kick rocks

You nikkas always talk about black people needing to improve our image
But shyt like this and the Turkey Leg Hut thread
Show y’all nikkas just jaw jackin
And playing hotep cosplay on this fukking forum:russ:
It’s one thing if a club/lounge is deeming that shyt ā€œblackā€
But this a fukking HBCU
When you dress good
You feel good
That’s a generational saying
I guaran-damn-tee you not going out with your parents looking like shyt
So why go to the school house unpresentable
The professor was just trying to start youngins on that path of at bare minimum being presentable when you step out the house
Just like your moms would tell you to always have clean draws on leaving the house
I don’t understand the push back
Outside of the hoodies
Who wants to see some broad giving a presentation on micro biology
Or statistics on the economy
Looking like a hoe on the Bissonett Stroll:pachaha:
You want the black male/female image to be better
But in here beat boxing and typing semantic ass post
To present yourselves as revolutionaries:skip:
Playing obtuse for daps and circle jerks:skip:
Ain’t no way this forum is filled with 6 figga men and women
Ain’t no way :Kd:

They got this way from looking at white people too much on the internet. Even if you go back to the 90s when A Different World made HBCUs look fun, they even presented themselves with dignity.. Now all of a sudden these nikkas get online talking with dirty white people during the social media age. Now we're here. Fcking idiots.

He used black cultural words/references in his banned list.

He didn’t just say ā€œno short shortsā€ he said ā€œcoochie cuttersā€

He didn’t say no Hats or Head coverings. He said ā€œno du ragsā€

and we all know the baggage of criminalizing black men/boys for simply wearing a hoodie.

That’s why people are calling it ā€œanti-blackā€ Dude knew exactly what he was doing. :smh:
reminds me when that apartment leasing office or bank from some years back had a drawing of a black woman in a bonnet and said "no unprofessional headwear" they could've said that without the racially inflammatory pic of who they want to keep out.
