Didn't watch a single second of it... I was actually a fan of his podcasts and grantland, liked his dynamic with jalen , and appreciated that he was a big NBA fan

Never felt the urge to even sample the show

He is good at writing, & podcast only. His podcast has sucked lately too. He was good on the new ESPN show with Jalen Rose because they had nice chemistry. Other than that he is trash at TV and boring. Maybe this is a reality check and he goes back to his roots

it's funny because i've heard him criticize sports center and rightfully so, but then he came with a show format that was equally as outdated and :trash:

not to mention bill simmons is only cool and edgy to white frat boys in their 30s now. maybe he has appeal to boston sports stans too, but breaking news 90% of america doesn't give a fukk about the red sox or bruins.

this is coming from someone who was a big fan of grantland and even listens to his podcasts still. a podcast interview format is one thing, but putting what was essentially his podcast on tv was bound to flop. especially with someone that lacks any sort of camera presence and when you can only do short interviews due to the length of the show.

If these talking heads who leave espn don't join up with FS1 they better re-sharpen their writing skills up again cause they will soon be forgotten tv wise

It's where he should have went in the first place if he wanted to actually try to compete with ESPN.

He could have took his podcast, documentaries, and articles over there and actually had a similar audience.
