my boy is EATING
Thanks, I do well for myself. As it stands currently, I've moved on to being a controller in healthcare. I have the skill for it and most of the education. That said, I'm going back to school next year at the school that I teach part time at to finish up on my accounting classes so that I can get another BBA, this time in accounting so that I can get my CPA. Only two more stops for me on this ride, CFO then CEO. That is all that is above me now on a company position hierarchy chart.
I would advise everyone with a couple of things.
#1: Know Excel, like really know. Knowing pivots and VLookup alone isn't shyt.
#2: Work on being a better communicator. Your glass ceiling comes into view when you can't convey and break down thoughts as if you are talking to a 5th grader.
#3: Brush up on your financial acumen. If you can understand money, then you can understand the business. So understanding it and being able to explain it to others is a very potent package.
